The 348 Registry is LIVE!!!!

I'd like to register but I just get a red/black screen with no place to enter info. (1) What am I doing wrong?, and (2) Where does one get a downloadable shop manual? I have 86869, a red/tan GTS with 20,000 miles

Ed, I assume you've gotten past your technical issue with your browser.
I just approved your Add Transaction of your car in the database.
You should be good to go for adding pictures of your car, if you'd like.

I emailed the owner a few weeks ago. He responded to say that he had malware issues and is looking for a new secure server. He would announce the reopening on this site when he resolves the issues.

 

Is he still looking? This was more than a year ago I think...?

 

I would assume so. I got this update from him about 6 or 8 weeks ago.

 

I had the 355 registry rebuilt from the ground up. Turned out nice. Hope the 348 one gets back on track.

Been chasing this for over a year. Last I heard, as of last July, toggie (Ron) explained that the registry was down due to the server dropping SQL v7 functionality. I was able to put him and FlyingHaggisRacing together, as FHR was offering to host with SQLv7 capability free of charge.

As of now, it still remains unfortunately resolved.

 

In the meantime I continue to collect SN, color, mileage, etc data for my own database in case anyone wants to share. I've thought about putting the spreadsheet up as an editable document somewhere but I'm concerned about privacy issues. Any contributions are welcome, as are suggestions for how to create our own self-sustaining database.

Interested to see if there was a registry up and running. Wanted to see what the first serial number was for a TS in the US

 

The site seems unmaintained. It is possible the owner does not know there is a DB log in error. -> Login failed for user 'dbuser57'.

 

In addition to the SQL 7 transition issues mentioned by Itsablurr (Mike), the website was hacked a few years ago and infected with malware using SQL injection techniques. The database part of the site was purposely turned off at that time (for user safety).

At this point, probably best to redevelop the site in more modern technology and re-host it elsewhere. It will need an SSL license, along with other cyber security protections, next time.

I believe I can still download all the car data and the car pictures that were uploaded over the years.

Other than the website you linked to, nothing comes up for that S/N, even when building out the full VIN using the decoder. Nothing... so more info needed?
