F430 Tire Recommendations

Hey all,

What are you guys using for tires on your Fcar? I have Pilot SS on my other sports car but am curious to hear options for the F430.

 

I have the p zero and they are fine

 

Wasn't there a long 430 tire thread last month ? Might be worth a look

 

if you want to go fast. Bridgestone RE71R
if you want good overall tire: Michelin PS4
if you want inexpensive and decent: Conti ExtremeContact Sport

 

I have had the conti extremecontact sports on a couple of my cars and they were a soft good ride

 

The latest Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are the best I have ever had. Great reviews from all who have used them.

No Pirelli ? we have used Dunlop Direzza Star sports Spec II on many cars ! ( not on a Ferrari - yet ) they are used by many track day heroes and are fairly cheap the car and driver bargain summer performance tire shootout winner some years ago! Image Unavailable, Please Login

 

how dare you !! this is Fchat, only Michelin (may be Pirelli if they are older Ferrari) are good enough for our babies !!

 

but ..... but... Pirelli ? they are ITALIAN TIRES ! LOL ( worked bloody well on our superbikes ! - Pirelli dragon Corsa ! ) I have used the Dunlops ( direzza star sport spec II) and variants I mentioned on a dozen cars ! awesome stick !

 

Fantastic. Far superior than Pirelli P zeroes which came from factory

 

Quadruple agree. Had Pirelli and Contis but the Michelin actually changed the feel and drive performance for me. I'll be replacing P zeros the 4S when they come to doing the rubber.

well it really does make a difference if the cars suspension tis' dialed in w/ a particular tire from the factory ! !

 

I'm putting Nitto Invos on mine. Had them on my viper and liked them. The 10 year old sumitoyos on my 360 need to go haha

I have had my 430 for 13 years. Quite a few sets of tires! I put PS4s on it last year. They are significantly better than all previous including SS. Not only has grip and feel improved, but they are also more compliant and quieter.

 

Another vote for Michelin PS4S

I had Nitto Invo's on my 2004 Dodge Viper Mamba and the were great tires. I agree that they are good tires.

Dont think you'll find that ONE answer. Depends on your budget and how you like your drive.
