An original non airbag hub from 355 or 456 works but probably impossible to find.

Superformance has adapters to use this wheel on an airbag hub.

    Guys,

Thank you to Dave for the wheel and everyone on the thread for the knowledge. I used CANDREAM's thread from year's ago for instructions and installed it on a Superformance SWA-355-02 adapter. Also wired in a resistor, worked like a charm. Looks/feels so much better, can't wait to drive it.

Adam, I'm glad you are pleased. I love those wheels but as a semi-purist, I could not bring myself to install it :)

Love your GTS - I have one just like it ;)

Can you post a pic of the hub as the wheel is installed.

    Thank you

    Bob,

Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the spacer on the hub but I have the before and after. This first pic is after the oem airbag wheel is taken off and disconnected. The second is with the spacer in place and the horn panel off. You can see the four screws that originally secured the wheel to the hub, they are now securing the wheel to the spacer. The spacer has it's own screws that bolt it to the hub, as they are longer because the hub is around 1.5 inches deep. I used the following thread as my guide:

    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/non-air-bag-oem-steering-wheel-fit.393653/

The only thing I did different is used a 3.3 ohm 1/2 watt resistor to simulate the airbag instead of disconnect the warning light. That way, it doesn't throw any codes.

Thank you. Can you shoot a pic of the installed assembly from the side. I’m interested in seeing how it the wheel/
    Hub/steering column come together.

    Thank you

    Bob,

Here you go...the Superformance spacer is anodized black aluminum so I didn't bother with any covering. The old wheel came directly to where the lighter gray felt looking stuff is, which you could see in a similar way. Also, the top of the new wheel curves slightly away from the hub right at the upper edge, but it is a completely solid hookup where the bolts and indentation for the wheel are.

    Perfect , thank you!!

I have the spacer and was considering getting it covered in leather so wanted to see how it looked installed.

Enjoy the wheel. I have one that I yet to install. Its simple to revert to original also.
