What is included in the belt service? all of the "while we're in there" stuff too?

Hi Steve! The 50% off gets applied to the belt service expense. If other issues are found with the engine out (i.e. oil leaks, etc), that would be an additional expense on top of the discounted belt service.

I think he's referring to the usual water pump replacement.....

 

...and cam seals.

What is the definition of the belt service? (i.e. Drop engine, remove covers, do belt, do bearings, cam seals, and tensioner (hopefully), button it all back up?)

Good questions. The 50% off is applicable to any maintenance items. Any repair, above and beyond scheduled maintenance according to that specific model's maintenance interval chart, would be considered an additional expense.

I'm actually going to change the title here to include "50% off any scheduled maintenance" to help add clarity going forward.

 

How much do y'all typically charge for major service on a 360? Also, updating variators (if needed) while you're in there?

 

If I pay 100% of the cost to do the service “now” can I wait until 2019 to get it done?
I cannot get car “ready” by Dec 31st for servicing
Need to put gearbox back in car first

 

Hi - a major service for a 360 is right at $5k + tax/shop fees, so figure half of that. The variators are not included in the major service and would be an additional expense of around $4k or so if they do indeed need attention. I'm using round numbers.
