halfway there mate If Leclerc drives like before the strategy was buggered up, Vettel's in for a hard time next year.

Ah! More GG lore and stories from the old time. I only go back as far as the corned beef sandwich and Boaty McBoatface.
back on topic for a moment, I've been reading a few articles on Abu Dhabi and in particular Nico's rollover. To my eyes, this was the same as the Max/Ocon incident, where Nico turned in too early assuming the other guy wouldn't be there any more, so mostly his fault. However, I did an hour in the simulator at SMSP on Sunday and I'm now more sympathetic to the drivers' problem. This sim uses the tub of a Lola A1 car and it was my first experience with the lay back / feet up driving position of modern cars. (also a paddle clutch with 2 paddles - that's another story) You look down your nose and over the top of the steering wheel, your peripheral vision is lost to the rising cockpit sides and you have no idea where the back wheels are. Add in a halo and side vision is hopelessly compromised. Contrast this to 80's cars, where the driver is at least 20 degrees more upright and can sense when a car is alongside. Bottom line, judging an overtake is much, much harder than it looks Image Unavailable, Please Login
Right guys, I’d like an opinion... in the f1 section now, if a thread is set up to cheerlead for Mercedes or Elton, it is clear that you must not comment in the thread unless you are going to join in with the love-in, because that is trolling. I commented ONCE after five pages of the usual stuff that the thread trying to judge whether Elton is a goat now he is a five time champion was clearly a waste of time, since the result of 90% voting no he is not is not good enough for his fans as they now state that the result is only bad because it’s a ferrari site, so clearly any result that isn’t positively in his favour is wrong and biased. Effectively, all I said was essentially ‘no ****, what a shock, maybe the question is why re his fans eager to post this sort of poll on a site clearly biased against their enemy driver’ and apparently, I got a thread ban for ‘trolling a Mercedes thread’. How is a poll thread asking a question about a formula one personality and whether he is a goat a Mercedes only contributor thread? By definition, it must be a general f1 question, because otherwise it would ask ‘so, Mercedes fans, do you think Elton is the goat?’ As currently it infers we can all vote and discuss. Therefore, my questioning of the posters there who want to disregard the results of their own poll because they didn’t get the answer they expected must be relevant? Anyone want to help me understand otherwise?
It's in an office suite above the pit garages, was formerly in a building outside the circuit. Like all sims, the value is the advice you get, usually about turn-in and braking points. Hardest part of driving a single seater is not being able to get a 2nd opinion. The consequences of experimenting and getting it wrong are very expensive.
The trolls can have that section to themselves ..... pack of Hamilton bum bashers ........ on a Ferrari site none-the-less
Honestly, why do you bother? The mods here are neither Ferrari owners or tifosi, they're sad losers with no power or influence, who get off on being able to ban people or protect their favourites. Once upon a time we had Rob Lay, who was a Ferrari owner and a source of common sense. Now we have a faceless corporation who own a million forums and only care about the page view stats.
Seems that way now chaps doesn’t it. ****ing disgraceful how the trolls are allowed to run amok, and if you answer them back, you get banned while they carry on with their ********...
