Beautifully-restored SVJ 4990, what a charmed life this car has lived Image Unavailable, Please Login
Actually it’s made of resin, Joe. It, apparently, was a design model that was later used by Bertone styling to train on metalshaping principles. Such great patina and history I am very honored to be the present caretaker for it. The Aste Bolaffi sale was quite a special experience.
Hey! Great to meet you! I believe we were sitting to the right of you. I was with Massimo Cairati, who I believe you met. I am sorry I did not meet you, as I was arranging payment at the time. The yellow Countach was wonderful as well!!
Great that you've got it, it is beautiful! I wasn't at the auction, I made my offers prior to the sale, but I would have been glad to meet you!
Hi Joe, before this excellent restoring, #4990 was red, wasn't it? That's the reason I thought it should be #4934 when I saw this image ;o)
Yes, it was red for many years, Haiti > France > Japan > Germany > Switzerland, perhaps someone can add to that.
Picture of my 3102 taken in front of a fighting bull statute at a local Toyota dealership, of all places. This pic will appear in a local DFW car calendar for 2019.
A fantastic color on this SV! Would be great if you could share your opinion about this car with us after you will have seen it.
Other than no side marker lights and a speedometer in kph on a US delivery car, what else can you tell from the photos?
Small correctible things such as exhaust tips canted upwards too far with Ansa stickers on, some minor upholstery anomalies. A bigger thing is that it is shod with incorrect P400/P400S front wheels.
Nice to see the fuel splash tray in red as it should be. The closest thing to Bobby's original Jota, that thing must sound insane running as it truly is on straight-pipes!
