Although I've already intimated that it is @ "half the price of a good running LP500S", per my posting in the Countach Project thread, contact me directly at (714) 928 5626 or [email protected] and I'll be happy to discuss it, the seller wishes a Private Treaty sale

John, trust me on this, let it go, besides, your Downdraft with Ansa F1 sport exhaust sounds way better!

Yes! You are partially correct. We recently sold the Max Bobnar LP400S Turbo, very cool 1980s period car and absolutely stunning in person!

    Huge congrats!

Sooooo jealous. I wanted to bid on this but didn’t find the time to get registered. I know you will never sell it but let’s just say it will be easy for you to find a home for it if you ever decide to!

Wow that is spectacular! I registered and ‘watched’ online as prices ran way ahead of the estimates which were clearly low compared to the last sale. Well done on securing this piece. Does the colour bare any relation to your project? I’d love to see an update. Ciao.

The two bump front bumper like that... did anyone ever assign a different nickname to it? We always seem to generalize with just “DOT” but I rarely see these..and when I do I only see them on converted 5000S cars. Converted from carb to f.i. that is.. (the silver test car, Udos black that burned up, Luis’ car (dot rockstar vids). I don’t want to jump to conclusions, can we or has the group determined if these are only on NA injected cars?

Off course it didn’t or it would bring a better result but it took some one to see the car’s potential. Symbolic people are good in picking these type of opportunities. There was also a Miura SVJ not long ago that every one snoozed on they rock n rolled with.

I think the considered cost of restoration was a factor.

Doubtful a car with no miles would need a full blown restoration but I can see where $100-150k can be invested into the car to make it right. The cost was much lower for an outfit like Symbolic. Either way a home run as how many no mile one off color Periscopas are there in the world? A lot of these sold for much higher numbers that didn’t have as much going for it as this car. There has been rough cars needing a full restoration bringing similar price.
