Any interesting story behind the round taillights? Never seen them before, look cool with the Miura's rear lines.

Top Motors di Salvioli, Nonantola, Modena. That's my photo from a trip there last month. Very solid and correct vintage mechanical and engine Lamborghini work done there. Third generation Lamborghini family, that's the youngest (Luca's son) in the back. Patriarch Orazio di Salvioli was an original factory engine builder and part of the legends that are Miura and Countach.

Great picture. The white Miura has it’s engine’s top end dissambeled with the head studs sticking up yet the engine is still in the car. Wonder why the engine was not removed to perform the work.

To remove the engine on a Miura is not the easiest task ;)

Your photo is named 350GT too. If its from a 400GT, it must be from a very early one.

3610. In regards to original engine compartment, it depends on the detail you are looking at. Obviously the coat hanger ignition wire holder is not original (since fixed). The silver on the engine has been repainted and so has the black on the frame. Other than that it is very original, not as good as Joe's example but a lot better than most unrestored cars. It still has its original oil vent hose with Pirelli writing on it. I still has its original hose clamps which you never see, it has its original air cleaner assemblies (housing original gloss black paint, underside of the cover is white), it still has the red paint on the carbs to signify it has been tuned (I do not think the carbs have ever been off the car), plus many other details.

    Cheers Jim

Very nice car this # 4912 that I personally discovered for the first time painted yellow with a beige interior, when it was offered for sale by RM-Auctions in January 2016.
Viewed again - now painted in blue - in August 2016 at Pebble-Beach. Great Miura SV now back to its original Blue Medio and its blue leather interior.
But from the first moment, something intrigued me concerning the repair that was made on the chassis rear frame during the car's life - I imagine following an accident, a rear shock ?
The problem of this imperfect repair is obviously still unchanged today ...
I'm just curious why they left this repair in this state - incorrect for a Miura SV? ...
Nothing serious when it comes to an ordinary passenger car - the visually non-compliant work performed does not affect in any way the strength of the repair, but here, at this price level, it is rather surprising ...

Not sure also that the buyer will notice this detail...

    Thank you Bruno,

You contribute to my point :

the catalog of most of Auction Houses have bad file preparation, for Lamborghini, they biaised the offers... and the official results are not reflecting the market trends !!!

More and more true collectors are now working//buying with specialist & renowed brokers instead of Auction houses…

I'm hearing plenty comments today saying, #4912 sold at $ 2,200,000 is the new SV standard market value : INCORRECT…

NO, this is the value for medium cars, like also the re one #4920 sold in August for $ 2,177,500

these Miura SV are NOT representing top quality cars with few owners… the best Miura SV are still in the league of $ 3,000,000 !

What is the price differential of a first class split sump SV over a single sump SV? There must also be a price differential between SVs with air conditioning and those without and US and Euro spec.
