That’s interesting because that’s not what they told me, perhaps they r not interested in my business....lol
You are absolutely right ! As fer9000 said before , il looks like Ferrari is testing a lot of different hybrids engine .
They had a Pista allocation, just not one for you. Dealers do this to buyers they don't want to deal with. Could be for a number of reasons, it's just business and move on. Pista is a regular production car so all Ferrari dealers will get allocations throughout the year.
Competitively speaking the new V8TT Hybrid should produce 850-900hp otherwise it will get eclipsed very soon by Mac's upcoming V8TT Hybrid
Ferrari said the two tier mid engine range will be fully hybrid by 2021 : 2019 : top of the range hybrid V8 TT + 488 replacement ( facelift and V8TT) 2021 : real 488 replacement ( hybrid V6 TT or soft hybrid V8TT ? )
Where are you getting that a 488 facelift replacement is coming for next year? The 488 is a facelift to the 458, so no facelift will be happening again anytime soon. Wait 1.5 years at least for the entirely new 488 replacement model. The photo of the Black 488 just before seems old and likely from shortly after the 488 renderings were leaked.
It is said that both 488 successor and its big brother are scheduled for the first half of next year.
Again, care to provide a link or something more substantive instead of he said she said? I wouldn't be shocked if Ferrari worked on something below the 488 to compete with the likes of the 570S, but nothing concrete has come to my attention, beyond routine fiddling. If Ferrari really wanted to fight in that area, all they needed to do is provide true cost options for the following: Shields Forged Rims Full electric or Carbon Racing seats Auto dimming mirrors Backup camera Parking Sensors These alone would shave at least $25K off each 488, putting it squarely right into 570S territory while costing Ferrari next to nothing.
The facelift 488 is the black covering car at Fiorano. The replacement for the 488 is at Frankfurt next September 12th with V8TT motor.
So you're saying that ^ is a facelift and not an all new model? Not disputing your sources or anything, but it's very hard to believe Ferrari will do a facelift to the 488 rather replacing it fully by next or year and a half. Just my thoughts. That's a clean slate model as someone mentioned before on this thread.
You are right! I mean what’s the point to have facelift 488 first and then have 488 replacement half year later? It’s stupid to make any move like this.
My dealer told me just last week that a restyled 488 will be in Geneva. Same chassis unfortunately...
Meaning charging the customer much closer to the true cost. Full electric seats don't cost $7,500 more than standard seats. That's $400 at most. Ferrari Shields, maybe $50, etc. Even if Ferrari took the Porsche route, it saves $25K off a 488. Metallic paint doesn't cost $12K, even on a one off car.
Our dear friend 'Ferr9000' says so. Btw, there won't be a Dino. It is non-existent. Only 488 and higher according to the roadmap.
