The other possible answer is : When Lewis moves to Ferrari. Yes i know it's not flavour of the month /year /whatever.
Wash your mouth out with soap and water..... what a disgusting suggestion. I’d rather ferrari left f1 than let that muppet into the team
Mercedes are the ones doing the blazinh Forza Ferrari..... the only racing team and car marque that matters. Italia forever It’s easier to apologise than it is to ask permission
They're getting closer, but we've seen many teams getting almost there and then instead of making that final step they fade into oblivion, i.e. Williams-BMW. So: impossible to predict. Maybe next season, maybe not.
These guys have 2019 all figured out....doomed, doomed I tell you. Ha. Scuderia Ferrari, Seb, and Leclerc FTW!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
But it is rightfully justified. If the day comes that Lewis joins the Scuderia, that will be the day that I will root against the the Scuderia.
Lewis has a way of finding that extra tenth or hundredth of a second when he needs it. I look at his record for winning poles as an example of what the best driver can accomplish when he knows how to dig deeper and just wants it more. Seb needs to find a way to beat Lewis and turn the tables or go down in history as a driver who won 4 titles at Red Bull only because they had the dominate car (not driver) Rank / Driver / Country / Poles / Entries 1 Lewis Hamilton Image Unavailable, Please Login United Kingdom 83 229 2 Michael Schumacher Image Unavailable, Please Login Germany 68 308 3 Ayrton Senna Image Unavailable, Please Login Brazil 65 162 4 Sebastian Vettel Image Unavailable, Please Login Germany 55 220
Well, Elton is going down as the man who only won four of his titles because of a dominant Mercedes, so why should Seb care? According to you lot it doesn’t matter when it comes to Elton, so why should it diminish Sebs achievements? Of course, in the case of Red Bull, you all agree that the car was the dominant force, and nothing to do with the driver, but in the case of the Mercedes, you all mistakenly believe the little ballerina is the only reason the car wins, it’s **** without him...... how ****ing ridiculous
It doesn’t, but I wouldn’t respect them for the period they chose to lower their standards and hire that scumbag.... what’s so hard to understand? I have no respect for the idiot, he wins due to the car, nothing else..... give Seb, Ricci, nico, Kimi, Max, and probably half a dozen others including Charles and they’d win in the Mercedes..... **** me, Elton had so much trouble with him, even Massa could beat Elton in it as much as any other.... stop waxing lyrical about the main enemy of the marque this site is about (Ferrari, in case you’d forgotten) and maybe you’ll be able to understand and not feel like an outsider..... we love Ferrari, that duplicitous **** is the antithesis of a Ferrari driver.. we want drivers that love to drive for us and will respect the history of the team.... Elton would try to make it all about him as though he is something special, and he isn’t
For God´s sake: another thread wasted. Please, do us a favour and do a search: there must be a Hamilton sucks thread around there.
Back to topic! -- https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/140586/ferrari-must-take-last-step-for-title-push For me as an F1 fan and Ferrari fan, Vettel needs to assess fully his mistakes the last 2 yrs. His attitude and lack of emotional control were mostly the difference this year. As the team via Management stated his mistakes were the most costly vs those of the team. The lack of harmony vs Mercedes internally is apparent. Mercedes work better as a team good times and results or bad. For Ferrari to win a mindset change is needed. They have the car. The 'intangible's are holding them back. Also I have little faith in Arrive and Vettel together. Sebastian Vettel says Ferrari must take the "last step" if it is to stand a chance of winning next year's Formula 1 world championship. Vettel challenged Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes in 2018, enjoying strong form at various stages of the campaign, but its title bid faltered after the summer break for a second straight season. Hamilton secured his fifth world title with two rounds to spare while Mercedes put the constructors' crown out of Ferrari's reach at the penultimate event in Brazil. Asked at the FIA Gala in Russia about what he needed from his Ferrari next year, Vettel said: "Better performance. I think it is very simple. "We had our races where we were very close and very competitive, and overall our car this year has been more an all round car which worked on all tracks. "So we had our highlights and I think most of them we used. "But then we had too many races where we were not quite there. Sometimes [it was] by a tenth or two but sometimes a bit more, where we were left with not much to do over a weekend. And that is something we must fix and try to control better going into next year."
One could argue that Hamilton also won with the dominant car - and he also managed to be beaten by his team-mate (Rosberg won over Hamilton in 2016, remember it?) so he managed to also lose with the best car - which never happened to Vettel, because when Ricciardo outperformed Vettel in 2014, there was not that much at stake, with a Red Bull Renault clearly not at the top.
If I remember rightly, Red Bull was, apart from Mercedes of course, the only team that won that year. Ricciardo won 3 GPs, I believe, so Red Bull cannot have been too far from the top, don't you think? Correct me if I am wrong, I quote from memory.
Personally, I still rank Vettel at Number 2 behind Hamilton and,in front of Verstappen. Maybe next year Max will overtake him and Leclerc provoke a surprise, but I don't anticipate too much change in the order.
3 GP out of 19, that's not what I'd call not too far... Back to topic, I'm really curious of what will happen next year.
Hamilton has won championships at more than one team, thats why I rank Seb lower as he won 4 times in a Red Bull but has never been able to win a championship with another team, so yes it might have been just the dominate car in Seb’s case. Lewis won at Mclaren and then took a huge chance on a struggling team that Schumacher couldn’t get right and helped develop it into a 5 time winning team (even if one championship went to his teammate becease he had a more reliable car that one year). When Seb shows he can win at a second team he will lose his one-shot-wonder (it was the dominate car) stereotype. How many modern champions in F1 have won with more than one team? Might be interesting to see how few..... Kimi? Alonso? Hill? Nico? Seb? Button? Mika? Mansell? Villeneuve?
Lewis has lost 2 WDC by a total of 6 points. If his car was as reliable as his teammates he'd have won the title. He had more wins and lost by 5 points dispite the dnfs.
Schumi, and with three different engine suppliers as I remember.... cheerleaders for Mercedes never win here
When did I ever suggest vettel was my favorite driver??? If you want to make a point, get your facts straight, otherwise it doesn’t look good for you
