So I may be trading my 360 but questioning what Im getting for it

    It's a 99 F1 modena
    Belts/tensioners done 5 years ago
    Needs tires and oil change
Have done maintenance myself so really did not keep track and have no service records to show
    14k miles with original clutch/brakes
Yellow with challenge grill Bordeaux interior

Anyone want to throw out some ballpark "as is" numbers of what they feel what I could get for her?

60-70. IMO. Needs a major and a good amount of work. The miles saves it, but it the Bordeaux interior may be a downer. Is it all red or just the leather?

Actually, I just re-read it...are you looking for trade in value? You may be under 50 at that point. One of the cars I was looking at (which was bought from another forum member) was a gated 99 TDF with 42k miles on it, he told me the dealer only offered like 40 grand on trade.

All service should be up to date and the tires fresh or you're going to get dinged hard on a trade-in. Dealerships don't want to address that stuff because it costs them time and money.

There's also nothing special about your car that would make up for that, and the interior could even be a hard sell.

I agree with Matt; I doubt you'd get to $50K for that car in that condition, and some dealerships would just pass.

It's has the Bordeaux seats and door trim. But black everything else.

Low 60s/ high 50s is my thoughts on it's current condition.

Actually private party trade. But could see your point on dealer trade value.

    Echoing the above comments.
Sadly, the only big plus is the mileage-- but a lot of minuses. As above stated; the Bordeaux seats and door panels with the yellow paint. Needs a lot of expensive maintenance done. It's and F1 and as said, a lot to choose from right now with nice desirable examples at very attractive prices (69k to 79k). Not to mention the early first year F1 cars are not the same ECU that drives as nice as the later updated ones. Tires not a big deal but doesn't show well to an interested party as that's an expense that is visually evident at the onset. Detail the heck out of it and fingers crossed at $55K.
IMHO, $62K would be all the money and you could feel good about it.

Sorry but you won't break 60 even in a private sale. You are closer to 50-55 private and sub 50 trade. I agree that many dealers would just pass on the car.

Cons - not red/tan, F1, needs a major, no service records to speak of. Needs tires. Going to seem un-cared for when presented this way.
    Pros - low miles

$50K car all day long in a private sale, less in a trade. Maybe a lot less.

What to do? Can't change the color combo, no coming back from that. But, $5K invested might get you $10K when you sell, and broaden the market you can appeal to. Unserviced car in off color combo will bring out all the bottom feeders. ALL OF THEM. It will not bring out the, "I have the money, you have EXACTLY the car I'm looking for" crowd.

yellow/bordeau/F1 is never gonna fetch top dollar, but cleaned, serviced and presented right should not be a deal killer for about 20% of the buyers out there. as is? 5% of buyers will consider it unless the listed price is fire sale low.

Don't forget to factor in seasonal pricing. It's winter, not the best time to sell.

Tough one. Not much going for it other than miles. Maybe re-dye the seats and door panels black? Do the oil change yourself and put new tires on it. Maybe some newbie/fanboy will buy it not realizing it needs a $5K Major. In other words, put some "lipstick" on it.

Wholesale, 40k car. Retail 50-55k to the right buyer. 360's are a dime a dozen with service history. No service history knocks 10k off the price out of the gate.

Sell it for what you can get and move on.

This is what I would do personally. Get some black door panels and black seats and throw them in the car. Take the old seats and panels and put them on ebay... or dye them.

This. A dye job is cheap, prob a few hundred.
    Get some tires.
Consider doing the belt job, but of course there’s always that risk they find other items to fix at that time, in spring sell for $60k.
