You are absolutely right but the real Ferrari freaks won't go near or consider anything over 15k . These are good cars but once they are considered drivers the resale suffers --badly .

I would classify myself as a “real Ferrari freak” and I would have no problem buying a Ferrari with over 15k,20k or 50k on it if it was well taken care of. Those who won’t touch one with over 15k to me are not “Ferrari freaks” but rather poseurs who are more concerned with how much their car is worth or worse, concerned with how others perceive them. What do I know though, I put antlers on my car.

My 2018 488 spider has 3500 miles , she’s probably ready for the junkyard. Shrugging shoulders. Best, Kirk.

    It’s toast ;)
With that kind of mileage it must need at least a clutch or something ........right ?
Probably should get the “new” clutch and list it on BaT.
That way you will get the old “Why did you replace the clutch at 3500 miles ?”
.......and you can tell them “Because of the high mileage”
    ;)
.....and Kirk, have a Merry Christmas.

Tommy , I’ve already replaced the clutch twice ,you know ...... with that kind of mileage. Next , I’m having the car repainted and a new interior installed. At that point I’m gonna list it on BAT. LMAO. All the best bro , Kirk

I totally agree. I have a 612 and I was down at the “candy store” the other day (exotic car dealership) and the sales guy was admiring my car and asked the mileage. I said 19K. He said I had better sell it quick because when I hit 20K it will take a big price hit. He said the same would be true at 30K.

I intend to drive the car til the wheels come off (and then maybe I will just replace the wheels!). I dont know why people are so concerned about the price of their Ferraris. All cars depreciate. This is not an investment, it is a passion.

I recently bought a 2 year old 15K mile Mercedes S coupe for $60K off of original sticker. I am not hearing people say dont drive their Mercedes to avoid price drops (unless maybe it is a gullwing) or considering 20K high mileage.

    By the way, nice antlers!

That’s awesome to hear Erik that you have what sounds like a truly daily driven 458!

Lots of little things. We have a transmission waiting to be installed as she's slipping a bit. Perfectly driveable. Random check engine stuff but we might have a cure for it. I need to repair the ebrake, it fails sometimes especially when she gets very hot. Otherwise, perfect.

140k and the biggest issue was the transmission slipping at 140k, and yours was the first model year. I’m impressed.

My point was that "high mileage" is relative to the person asking. I don't consider 25K high. Some do. Since it's a key element of the OP's criteria, would be beneficial if he states what range of mileage he's seeking.

yup. And many consider 5k miles on a Speciale (for example) to be a "high mileage" example.
