    That's too expensive!

I only paid $299,999. But then I bought 2 so maybe there was a discount. :)

Commission Ferrari Classiche to build the rest of an Enzo and then have them plug in that V12!

Hmmm...the obvious red flags are bigger than that engine itself! No vin number from the car, no engine number, the feedback score is terrible and not to mention there's only one picture of a generic engine from an Enzo...still in the car! I know the auction has ended but man that's a shady listing if I've ever seen one.

I emailed back and forth with the "seller" on eBay.

He wanted a deposit, before letting me inspect it in person. Because "I have to get it to Miami first". So, he does not in fact have this engine in house, or who knows if one even exists.

I asked about a VIN or ID on it. He stated it was a "spare, so there's no VIN..."

Be cautious, that smells like 100% pure ********

If you want a real buyer, you'll need to provide more concrete information. Like more pictures? :D

If you Google map the address associated with that dealer's address, it doesn't appear to even return a "shop".

Kind of strange. I wonder if anyone on here can attest that Maranello made spares?

I'm in Lauderdale for a few more weeks.
Happy to pop down and take a few pix in Hialeah.
No need to move it to Miami.

The engine is located in Nigeria. Seriously if he/she can't provide a VIN it says SCAM. The other trick off course is to ask for a deposit(say $10,000) and then ask for another $5k(for paper work) and on and on, till you have sent over a $1,000,000. a number of years back a secretary at a church in Texas sent in small amounts a total of $1,500,000 to process her $40 million prize. When the police arrested her, she was still holding out hope.

Total ********.... who seriously expects to buy an Enzo engine on eBay? The word Nigeria makes it a guaranteed scam.

I agree, but an Enzo engine is so rare, why would anyone need to sell thru eBay, ferrari themselves would likely buy it when they need one

I'm still waiting to know why/how/if Ferrari ever made "spares" as Mr.Fiorano calls this engine.

I do not believe an engine exists in this dealerships/businesses possession. I believe they work a lot like La Scuderia Rossa. IE sell a part you dont have, take the money and hope you can find the part...

IIRC, didn't Enzo himself once say something to the effect of, and I'm paraphrasing here, "I sell my customers an engine and I throw the car in for free".

Considering Enzo's own words, I think 375K for an Enzo engine is an absolute steal... HAHA

After all, what is the price of an Enzo these days? $3 -- $3.5 million? Of course, that assumes that this sale is not a scam and the engine is indeed in like-new condition. I'd recommend at least a dyno test drive around the block (pun intended).

I think he means prove that the engine actually exists and this is not some type of scam. The "proof" that has been given so far is quite sketchy.

Do you still have the engine and is it still for sale?
