Now that is ironic though I had not seen Flavio Manzoni's comments regarding the 330 P3-P4. That whole series and the P5 250 Speciale would certainly represent some great inspiration for a modern design. Thank you for sharing those details! I remember in 1968 the P5 seemed like a space ship compared to most of the other design efforts back then...
I don’t want to make a mountain out of a mole hill...but Adamas....you quoted Marcel and said, and I quote you for emphasis, “I couldn’t agree more.” What Marcel was insultingly implying, and to which you couldn’t agree more, was that someone wanting shields was so psychologically weak perhaps that person should seek medical attention. If you didn’t agree with the sentiment of his post you had the free will to choose other words (of course if you subscribe to the philosophical leanings—as I do—of Sam Harris and Dan Dennett then there is no free will, but I digress). No one here to my recollection has ever insulted someone saying they prefer a car without shields, yet that doesn’t seem to prevent the contrary position that someone preferring shields would appear to be mentally deranged. There is no need for this among Ferrari friends.
Upon reading MM's entire post, I see where you are coming from. I access Fchat via my phone over 90% of the time, and below is how it appeared on my phone screen; I read only only that, and not the rest of the post where the tone became a bit more derisive. To be clear, I was agreeing with the beginning part of MM's post, not the end [read: "insulting"] parts. Regards Mike0 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Amazing how easily people are triggered by the simplest things, and rush so quickly to be offended, or even to be offended on behalf of other people who they think will be (or should be, according to their world view) offended. The world of forums and social media is littered with the arguments of people who didn’t stop for a moment to look for an alternate interpretation before wading into the fray. Mr. Massini seems to be a reasonable and balanced person in the world of Ferrari, and I suspect his reference to individuals needing to see their doctor (there was no use of the word “deranged” by MM) was intended to be a humorous metaphor for the need of some to over-compensate, rather than to be taken literally. Chill out folks. It’s Christmas. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Now I’m really offended! I’m kidding. Please note I did refer to this as a “mole hill” and I chose those words for a reason: I do consider it to be a “mole hill.” Peace.
