That Dallas Giants game was pretty fun!
Most surprising teams (on the upside): Bears, Browns, Chargers. Most disappointing teams (on the downside): Where to start! At least half the teams in the league, arguably everyone who missed the playoffs.....
Hi Boys, I'm back after a fortnight of internet avoidance. Anything of interest happen in the NFL while I was gone?
Most disappointing teams? Jags, Vikings and Falcons. Throw in Steelers for good measure. Carolina too. Players? Kirk Cousins comes to mind most readily. Thus far, he can't seem to beat a good team or win a big game. T
Lmao. No wonder the Steelers sucked this year. Also watch the video in the link. Seems the players are growing tired of Brown http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001006628/article/antonio-brown-skipped-walkthrough-left-game-early
Most telling quote was "we will tolerate you until we can replace you." Can't see them replacing AB. Juju is good, but how good will he be without Brown taking all those double teams? All that being said, AB needs to be a little less of a prima donna. Maybe this season will humble them a tad and they'll get back to football and less drama. Not holding my breath though! T
Definitely the Jags, imo. After how last season ended and all the **** talking Ramsey was doing and he just kinda gave up this season. But at the same time, everyone but the Jags knows Bortles isn't the answer. Can't be Carolina because they, like the Chargers are supposed to be contenders every year and fall flat. And we've already said it, but Minn got exactly what they deserved. Did ole Kirk have a memorable game? Nope. And Keenum may still just be a glorified backup, but he showed himself to pull through and have a game and season the fans will always remember. They'll choose to forget cousins. lol
Carolina was an enigma. They were cruising on all cylinders at the mid-point, and then went on a 7 (I think it was) game skid until yesterday, when they played an unmotivated Saints team with nothing to play for...T
Kirk couldn’t figure about a second string defense that had nothing to play for after LAR clinched 2nd overall.
This story says that the 1st string D was in most of the game... "Matt Nagy didn't bench his starters until substituting defenders late in the fourth quarter." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001005550/article/what-we-learned-from-sundays-week-17-games Regardless, Cousins has yet to distinguish himself in either important games or against top-level competition...T
I believe I pointed this out after they signed him and before the season started. His record against teams with winning records speaks for itself. Something like 6-25 - if that good. Injuries hurt Pitt. Almost every WR is a diva, live with it. Besides, who can they get that is any better than AB or JuJu?
^Yep. I was reading some earlier posts in this thread this morning. You and Ace were off the Kirk Cousins bandwagon even before the parade began! [emoji2] T
Odd....in the 3rd quarter the commentators said they were all 2nd string, and also I read somewhere on ESPN that they were 2nd string in second half
More on the AB situation http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25657298/antonio-brown-upset-steelers-skipped-practices-final-game
Yeah, I was surprised too when I read that since LAR jumped on top of Niners early as I recall, making the outcome of Chicago game moot...T
