Went to visit a buddy for a coffee - see below. Pictures (as this) simply don't do the 812 (or any Ferrari) justice. It was the first time that I saw the 812 in motion (from in front and behind). The road presence and sound is simply intoxicating. The design features "in motion" - stunning.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all - Geneva in 10 weeks - LB and BB cant come soon enough :)

    So true.
After driving 812, I wonder if I would buy 812 spider or monza for that matter too.

I will have pista spider comming and if Icona F40 is reworked pista or BB, it has to be a heart stoping beauty and has different drive train technology, not just throwing in easy tech like RwS. Just calling it F40 and demand 2 mil for rebodyed pista can be a tough sell. I wouldn’t buy one if my car under skin is the same and much cheaper, but lets see...

Lamborghini has such a bad influences. They got away so many times with body kit.

Congrats on the ordered Pista Spider , and like you, we are wondering what the new F40 incarnation will be in reality. I am hoping for the best in desireability and performance factor, although not for the best price, client-wise. We agree that we have to pay more for any new successor model, simply because we get more technology and hp and it does come at cost. So, performance (tech) up, prices up, and does it mean that there will not be "more affordable" mid-engine ferraris at the current price levels? I think there will come the 'LittleBrother' which some people try to call "a new Dino", with a V6TT hybrid and ~650hp or up - a new entry level ferrari in the current 488gtb price range.

Ferrari reminds you to give some heat to the older toys before the reveal of the new ones. As they say "it is just around the corner" ...

Sorry if this has been asked already (it's 50+ page thread, I tried my best to read all of it before posting....)

Has there been any speculation (or confirmation) whether the frontal S-Duct design will continue, on any of the upcoming models? I understand it was introduced as the Pista's signature, but that doesn't necessarily imply it will be discontinued.

It has a serious drawback in terms of trunk capacity, it would imply a very serious rework to overcome this issue for a more road-oriented car.

First of all : Happy New Year!
Having been absent for quite some time I just tried to find some news on the 488 sucessor here.
Well, there are a lot of rumors everywhere.
Some sort of wake-up call for me came from my dealer some weeks ago:
488 cannot be ordered/delivered anymore. Just some „on stock“ cars being in the production pipeline already.
Successor is said to have hybrid-drivetrain...
Genova will be the place to have a first look on it.
    Many greets from Germany...

What about the Pista? Can it still be ordered? Or have they stopped taking orders for Pista too?

Pista is sold out here as well.
BTW: it should read Geneva ...

To clear things up, because you put some interesting news, I would like to ask if the model planned for Geneva is to have hybrid drivetrain, for sure. Latest info (thanks to ferr9000) say that in Geneva we will see the direct update, the "facelift", 488F-L - so will the "facelift" be hybrid? (BB will come later and will be hybrid for sure)

Yes. The 488 facelift comes with V8-Hybrid-Drivetrain only (!) and will be introduced in Geneva.
Ferrari are going to switch the entire portfolio to hybrid.
    Based on V6, V8 and V12. => i.e. sucessors of Portofino, 488, 812. Plus SUV.
Furthermore, starting with the „Monza“, they are likely to launch a number of spezies derived from „vintage heros“:
    Dino, F40.
Matching with a number of earlier posts here in the F-Chat...

I'd like to thank you very much for this (great) info. This post should be pinned on top.
So, we will be able to play with new wave of Ferrari hybrids soon.

Sorry if this has been asked before in this thread or somewhere else.
Im currently in the market searching for my first ferrari which is 488.
So, if the successor is around the corner, should i wait till march to see what ferrari reveals?
Or the successor wont hit the market till end of 2020 and i could enjoy 2 yrs knowing my ferrari is the latest?

    Regards

So the question is, will the replacement priced in the $500-600K price range be a CF tub? Aventador is CF, McLarens are CF. Any car in that price should definitely be CF imo.
