You are absolutely correct. But 20 or so cars is not enough. That’s very low number. It keeps prices high

The healthy way people should look at any car purchase is just based on whether or not they want it. I didn’t get wealthy off of any vehicle. Even the ones that increased in value I usually spent more on maintenance which off set the gain. Again, no extra money was added to my account. What little gains I did truly make were minimal not enough to do anything with. I’ve spent more in a weekend 10-30k which is more than any pathetic gain on a car. Let’s say my best gain was 10k. That’s nothing to get excited about. I’d be excited at 500k-1 million. There’s not much of that going on here. You guys just need to get what you want and forget about this nonsense.

I agree. Especially if the Testarossa is your dream car. You're a complete idiot delaying your dream over $5-10k.

Look, all of u seem to be good people. Just trying to offer a balanced perspective. Don’t let your emotions for a big win cloud your good judgement. This happens to people all the time that play the lottery. I think what’s most important is you be the best negotiator you can be and get the best deal when u decide your ready to pull the trigger.

I think they are about to be on their way back up. If you want one you better pull the trigger.

Doubtful. The Auctions seem to be up to other tricks these days and are on to the next snake oil after the european cars ran out of air. They've been hyping, pumping and dumping early 2000s bmws the past year and now they're on to 90s Japanese cars? Wonder what the next "investment" idea will be?

In my book if I can sell the car for the same money I purchased it including service that is by itself a GREAT investment.
Drive a Testarossa for free!! What is a better investment than that???
Can you look at your stocks holdings on your iPad and spend 30 minutes admiring them while enjoying a glass of wine?? Maybe, if you are Ebenezer Scrooge.
Investments go up and down but just like somebody said here “life is too short to drive slow cars and to drink cheap wine”

I try to warn all of the Vueve Clicleeeeeeeeeeeeeghggghghhghghg buyers out there that they are wasting their money on that 6 dollar bottle of champagne dressed up pretty and selling for 65 dollars a bottle! Utter garbage. Plenty of 10 to 20 dollar champagnes out there that are 10x better than that toilet water

Eh, I’ve wanted a 90s Japanese car for a long time, but gotta wait until 2024 to pull that trigger. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I think DP is definitely better than VC, but if I had to put a price on it I'd call it a 65-70 dollar bottle of champagne. I've always found it to be pretty heavy for what it is and it has definitely become the Johnnie blue label of champagnes (all marketing). Bollinger, Drappier, Pommery, Moet chandon imperial, Gruet. Ive had some really good inexpensive 10-15 dollar bottles of Spanish Cava. Friexenet, Mas Tinell, and a bunch of others that I can't recall the names of. I've been buying those alot the past few years. I save the "good" stuff for special occasions. Birthday, new years, kentucky derby, a big business success/windfall. I have a local liqour store back home that I can usually get Perriet Jouet Belle epoque for 90-110 dollars which is a hell of a deal. That stuff is dynamite. That's my number 2 favorite behind Grand Annee Bolly.

Hmm...we might just have different palates. I've had one bottle of PJ Belle Epoque that was fantastic...every single one afterward has had sour / mildewed taste to me???

I might give the Bollinger a try. Do you have any thoughts of choices in the Demi-Sec range?

Quit drinking and you can get two Ferraris.

Been preaching it for years here, buy the car you want, enjoy it and when you are done move on. If you're lucky you will have a few bucks more or break even. If you're unlucky, less. If you're buying for an investment, they're not so great and a couple of my cars have doubled from what I paid, except one took 14 years and the other 5. Would have been miles ahead if I put the money in the market.

One I actually financed, because why wait and the payments were never an issue. If I waited on that car it would have been 40% more.

Sorry to see a different group act like so many I have seen in the past. Lots of rationalized excuses for not buying and always trying to time the bottom and never driving a Ferrari.

Spring and summer are fast approaching, buy your dream car and enjoy. It's really not that hard.
