Hi guys here is another great one ! 2016 McLaren 650S 3000 miles Beautiful Storm Grey Color Mint!!! With the dealer installed sport exhaust !! $185,000 Mike 973-610-7111 Happy Healthy 2019
Hell of a deal. McLaren's pumping out new models a bit fast. That's not helping. I actually like the aesthetics of the 650S more than the 720S. Love them both, but the 720S to me just looks a bit too out there, seems like it borrows something from Pagani as well to me for some reason. Once McLaren starts allowing Indy shops the tools they need to work on these things, it'll slow the depreciation.
Great deal on an awesome car! You should add “650 Spider” to your ad so there’s no confusion. Also it it under current warranty? If not, could be easily.
Actually they are NOT pumping out new models a bit fast. Aside from the hyper cars they have 2 models. The 650 is an evolution of the 12C which was much improved - this evolution happened quickly. This is a ton of car for the money. Performance is off the charts for $185K - nothing comes close at this price point and this is a convertible. After the initial price drop they have held pretty well, downside from this price range should be minimal.
I’m not a huge McLaren fan so I’m not sure of all the models but as far as I know they introduced the 12c in 2011, the 650 in 2014 and its successor the 720 in 2017. Ferrari introduced the 458 in 2010 and the 488 in 2016. So McLaren is definitely changing over models quicker than Ferrari.
First, IMO every McLaren is a ton of car for the money. I never said anything to the contrary, not even remotely implied it. 570S is now my ultimate car, and I'd like it to be my next exotic. But it may well not be, for the lack of tools being available to indy's, makes me gun shy. I'm not alone in this, and that makes the secondary market softer than it would be otherwise, infer from that what you will re further depreciation. I'm exactly the target market here, and I hope this changes sooner rather than later. As for whether they're putting out new models a little fast, you're closer than I obviously being a current or former 720S owner, but you're not the only McLaren owner I know and it's not my opinion I posted but that of other McLaren owners, so again, FWIW. Sorry if my initial comments weren't taken well. I never, and I mean never, intentionally post to a classified anything that I would think would be received poorly by the listing agent. I think it's a hell of a value and I said so, and I think if McLaren is smart they'll let indy's tool for the secondary market and that's going to give everything from the MP4-12C on a bump. That was the spirit I'd intended, great deal, might slow in depreciation soon if McLaren plays ball a little. Sorry if ill received. You're welcome to have a mod delete my comments if so.
They dont, independents indeed do work on them but there are certain things the dealers need to handle. This will change soon but Mac wants to support their dealer network.
Independents have no access to diagnostics software yet. Unless something has changed recently? I will be open to the possibility of buying a McLaren literally as soon as that changes. Sorry again I caused this discussion on a FS thread.
12c was 2011-2014. 650S was a 2015 and 2016 model - essentially the same car as 12C but slightly different. 720 is a 2018 model and newer. Mclaren had no 650 or 720 in the 2017 model range. And yes the depreciation was bad with the 12C and 650, its much better with 720. One thing to realize though is that even though that 650 had a 315k sticker, likely the buyer paid 260ish or so brand new for the car as the early cars were heavily discounted. This particular 650 is a great car, great bang for buck and should maintain value fairly well going forward at this price. GLWS.
I got the opportunity to drive a 12c last week and performance -wise these cars are off the hook . I would go with a 650 . This car is beautiful and for the money a good deal. GLWS
