Image Unavailable, Please Login '05 Carrera GT VIN WP0CA29855L001164 (dash #0542) finally sold at RM Petersen recently @ $775,000 including buyer's fees. This represents a $700,000 hammer price and low-to-mid $600,000's net to seller. I would call this one a fair deal for seller - the buyer must have really wanted this particular unique color combination, etc. at this all-in price, especially considering the car had struggled to sell for quite some time in the public market. Regardless, this sale points to the fact that Carrera GTs remain very strong in a current market that has cooled for some other cars.
Thank you! Was that also an optional color for brake calipers? Just wondering if therracotta might have looked better than yellow.
It was possible to order the brake calipers in Red. Terracotta is a brown, named after the clay-like material used to make some pottery. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was not really a fan of terracotta interiors on the CGT when it came out, but it has grown on me and it looks good. I like the black accents on the wheels.
Wow that’s a strong sale for that mileage. I’ve got 9400 miles on mine but would never sell it....keep driving! Sent from my 16M
Terracotta does look great with the more muted exterior colors, particularly GT Silver and Seal Grey.
It looks like the RM car was purchased by Rusnak Westlake Porsche, where it is now offered at $875,000: https://www.rusnakwestlakeporsche.com/inventory/used-2005-porsche-carrera-gt-rwd-2dr-car-wp0ca29855l001164 Interesting business choice... as long as it makes sense to them!
Thats extremely odd, especially as the only way to really justify that cars high hammer was that it had just gone through a huge servicing (a porsche dealer could've done these services themselves at a fraction of the cost). Seems like somebody will be looking for a new job soon.
Symbolic could’t sell this CGT for a long time. This dealer could of bought it at a discount if it didn’t go through RM. The car is black which brings a premium but the miles will hold it back.
As usual, I am seeking Carrera GTs in the USA of all colors, mileages, etc. on behalf of private buyers. Please contact me at [email protected] to discuss further! Here is #0580 which we supplied to a local client in 2018: Image Unavailable, Please Login
The well-known PTS Arancio Borealis Carrera GT (WP0CA29895L001510) has been sold after a long stint in the marketplace and will be headed to Indiana. This car started life on the East Coast, then travelled to Sacramento area in California, where its owner made the public fully aware of its existence with a serious online marketing campaign! It has around 260 miles, making it possibly the lowest-mileage PTS Carrera GT in existence. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That’s my car . From this video , I did some of the high speed drive buys . From this video (I had 2 great days with Evo staff. I taught Catchpole how to use the clutch).
Actually you are only partially correct . The v8 in the 918 started life as that engine you describe , but so much had to be changed it’s basically a new engine
