So, we’re not supposed to take the Pista with race wheels to the pista? [emoji848]

Interesting! Did you get this in writing and or have to sign for this? There's no way I am going to accept that nonsense. Buying a 488 Pista with 20k EUR wheels which then cannot be used on the Pista, indeed!

    Not in
Not in written! The wording is.... any damage of any parts caused by excessive use, eg. on tracks, is generally not covered by warranty.......

So in reality - Ferrari can do what they feel like and if they wake up in a bad mood that day then "bad luck" buddy - not cool !!

Clear. You mention that Ferrari instructed the dealer to contact potenti clients. What about one that have taken delivery already or that will soon?

Doesn't make sense. Carbon Revolution says their CR9 wheels are absolutely fine for track use, have been tested in labs, on the road and around circuits for maximum durability that exceeds the limits of OEM rims, but the Pista's CF are not OK? There's clearly something I'm missing here.

Should be the same! Just ask your dealer about the warranty details.

Does the Pilota have an option for non-carbon wheels?

May I ask you how much they charge for the rosso fuoco on this car and in witch country you did order it? I placed my order with my full spec last monday but I have to wait the price for the Rosso Fuoco and also to know the extra cost for changing stripes colors.....I went for bianco italia in the middle and tdf blue for the sides stripes.

second and third pictures looks like enhanced a little bit but the first one looks "real" and looks Fuoco for me.....but of course I can be wrong!

I understand there were some manufacturing issues, but will they be usable on the track when the problems are sorted and the wheels delivered?

    Thank you.

sorry to interrupt the carbon fiber rim discussion in the Pista pictures thread - I am still waiting for delivery of my Pista in ross formula 1 2007 - but I found something to Keep smiling in the meantime...:

The Poltrona Frau Cockpit Pista Limited Edition with carbon fibre back and stripes in Argento Nürburgring and Blu America... I love it!

I saw that chair and thought about speccing one. But how comfortable is it? It looks like you'd slide right off and that the arm rests are rather diminutive and, well . . . not very restful. ;)

My reading of this wheels story so far: it is Ferrari being cautious and sandbagging itselft against possible claims in the future. Carbon Revolution has been producing these wheels for a while now and never had problems. The wheels on the Ford GT are the same and don't even have the thermal paint. Sure, slightly lighter car, but still...

To be honest - the seating is rather firm, but not uncomfortable, something like the racing seats in our cars. In no way do you slide off, I feel quite comfortable when writing as well when leaning back. The armrests are surprisingly comfortable.
As you will need an authorized dealer to sell that real masterpiece - just go there and have a try. I first saw and tried the chair in Mugello 2017 (finali mondiali).
But don't wait too long - Poltrona Frau claim that the production of the Pista is limited by time...
