What Design Element Would You Change On The 355

I like the way the 348's console integrates into the dash, the 355 has that gap next to your knee like a 308 and 430. Other than that, the car is perfect to my eyes.

The steering wheel doesn't bother me, my stock wheel is in a closet and the one on my car is a stock wheel done up by Macarbon that gets a lot of compliments.

 

Not having a steering wheel fore/aft adjustment (tall driver problem).

Not having a quick disconnect plug for the 5.2 ECU harness in the engine bay, and, of course... having to do engine-out belt changes.

Nose clearance (aesthetics/aerodynamics/luggage space Vs driveway accessibility)

 

Actually, not a thing. It's perfect

I probably wouldn't modify a Picasso either

 

Better flying buttress to fender planning to prevent cracking. Access panels like the 360 for belt changes.

 

Agree on the buttress design as the cracking doesn’t seem solveable long term.

The access panel would require fuel tank relocation as with an access panel all you’d see is the fuel tank.

 

I don’t really care for the shiny piece on the door-end meeting the window. Shape is ok. Combo of shiny and matte is a little odd.

Passenger airbag should allow for a proper glove box like the older cars so you have a place to put your gun.

 

One thing that gets me is the way the front boot opens. It makes picking up anything from the boot difficult. My 360 was much more functional in this respect as the boot opens front the front and you don’t break your back getting out the groceries.

 

Except when your going 200 and the latch fails.
Your correct on the functionality though. I just like it because its different, but as you said a pain

 

Yeah I get that but the 360 and the 458 etc all have it that way. They have the safety catch granted. It’s not a huge issue but it does make an impractical car even more so. But yeah splitting hairs trying to perfect the 355. They nailed it from the start.

If you're going to change something, think BIG. Come on Robb, the shiny pieces on the door? Grant, glove box? You guys are cracking me up! You're being sarcastic, right?

 

I'd give it side strakes and bars over the rear lights

 

Sure, here you go, it's "chunky" feeling (thick) and the difference between the leather and carbon has a nice feel.

True. But wouldn't you agree that having multiple different ECUs with their own connections and protocols to be something that could have been done better?

 

And squaring off the front end a little.

 

My post was a bit tongue and cheek. I actually don't love the steering wheel. That's really my only issue.

Hind sight is always 20/20 though.

I'd rather talk about how awesome the car is instead of looking for flaws.

Nothing is ever perfect but they really did get this car right (at least from an esthetic point of view)

 

And adding a proper center console and updating the boring white font gauges with some exciting font orange versions.

And as other have said, the steering wheel. Good example is the 360 wheel looks pretty sharp in a 355.

That is a big improvement.
Personally I do prefer the 360 but your does look good.
I think the thickness I would like. Mine is definately thinner
At first I also did not like the red stripe but it has grown on me

 

You like the reverse front bonnet come on, come on.
It grows on you with the uniqueness, ha ha.

 

My friend owns a dealership in town and has this engine in a mustang.
It sound very good but after I took him for a rip he had nothing more to say about his voodoo.
