I saw a factoid that defines why I refer to my favorite team as the "Miami Mediocres":

"Miami has finished between 6-10 and 10-6 in each of the past 10 seasons." It's consistency, but it's also mediocrity defined!

 

Mets had a similar issue while I was growing up in Brooklyn. From mid-70s to mid-80s, they consistently sucked. I think consistent mediocrity might actually be more aggravating though, as a fan...T

 

Well, there's a little beef that will remain till next season. I like it.
