Not me. Effem. I might buy a copy on eBay just to deny Dennis Publishing the sale. You know, they sent me a renewal letter after receiving only two issues. They expect me to re-up and pay to not receive their product. The two times I've already called the distributor about #6 I never heard,"I'm not sure what the problem is. Let me send an email to the publisher and try to sort it out. I'll ask them to send you a copy right away." All I got was, "Call us back in a couple of weeks if you still haven't received it." It's only a flipping magazine. It aggravates me even more that I've wasted so much time over it. I think I have it figured out. If I let my subscription expire the magazine will magically arrive.
You’re absolutely right..........i’m just too old to let it get to me. Stick to your guns. Let’s see if we ever get our magazines.
So far I've been lucky to pick them up from my local newsagent. They usually have a stack of five or so. I can imagine if I did subscribe they would either never arrive or turn up damaged in the post (which is not good for my OCD ).
FWIW, I did email the publisher about the delay and did get a prompt response. Apparently, issues can arise when adding addresses to the database(?) They wanted to confirm my mailing address which they then updated manually. Magically, a magazine arrived not too long afterwards. Funny how the postal system works. While I originally wrote Dennis Publishing with my complaint ([email protected]), the people who sorted it out were found at: [email protected] Maybe write Dennis and cc customer care?
That's all well and good, but they've had my correct address since day 1. So I ain't buying into that story. This is one of those 1st world problems. Annoying? Yes.
I sent an email to the editor. I know subscription fulfillment isn't his remit, but ultimately the success or failure of a periodical goes back to the editor and publisher. Perhaps he can push the right buttons. That will be my final attempt.
If its any help ..... I emailed the UK publisher customer service with URGENT in the subject line. Gave them my gripe , and today I finally got issue 6 via DHL ! Go figure .......... So dont waste your time with the US distributor, or your local distributor wherever you are. Just go to the source. It still does not address the hit or miss , or should I say hit or miss miss miss subscription problem, but at least its a way to get the current issue. I love the mag, and I really want to to survive. However with this kind of service and distribution, it does not look promising.
I had done the same and got zero reply. I then emailed the PA of the editor and she said she will be leaving company end of month………. Marcel Massini
I made one more attempt. I called the U.S. distributor. I got a busy signal on every attempt. Really? An American budiness is still using a phone system that doesn't send calls to an available line or voice mail? Is this 2019 or 1989? When I finally got a ring....it was answered by a machine with a poorly done, amateurish, message telling me what their "normal business hours" are....which, by the way, fell within the time of my call. If I haven't received #6 by the end of the month I'll cancel my subscription any buy on eBay. It may cost a couple of dollars more but I'll have the satisfaction of denying them a sale.....as if they'd notice!
Well... According to 'managemymags' the portal for subscribers (UK) issue nr. 7 should now be on it's way. Send, according to the system, on 20 January... So, they are a little behind with sending our magazines therefore they work on Sundays...!? Keeping my fingers crossed if this issue arrives...
Posted for entertainment value: I received an email from the "ENZO subscription team" imploring me to renew now in order to...wait for it........"avoid any interruption in your subscription." As if......
Issue nr. 7 is out and circulating... Very curious of "if" and "when" it will arrive in my mailbox... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I guess the "customer service" rep lied to me when she said all copies of issue #6 in the U.S. were lost.
Just like when a Ferrari salesman says the brown coloured one I have in stock is worth more because they are much rarer !!
And my #6 finally showed up today ........... 3 Weeks after the subsequent issue was published! Bad enough if it was a Monthly Mag. Just CRAZY given that it is a Quarterly Mag. Im rooting for them , but they are making it very hard !!
