    If ever there was a time for the UK to exhibit courage it is now. Simply exit the EU and adjust to the changed circumstances over the next 2 years. The public voted to leave the EU. Honor that vote and adjust to the changes that follow. Compromise is no answer

    About 45 minutes north of me. Sleepy little town near the Sebring Race Track.

    Had been trained as an armed prison guard, apparently.

    Details still sketchy as to why the guy walked into the bank and shot the place up, but it's not robbery.

    Our clueless new governor Ron DeSantis mumbled, hemmed and hawed his way through a statement afterwards. Florida has apparently become the new capital for inexplicable shootings in the USA. Time to get my neighborhood HOA to put in a more formidable gate at the front of the community, and BEEF UP OUR COMMUNITY'S WALLS!!! (Right now it's mostly just a hedge.) :D

    We digress, but truth? I love the part of Florida I live in. Heat does not bother me one bit. Hurricanes, HA! I laugh at hurricanes!! Rode out a CAT 4 no problemo. Tornadoes!! Bah, humbug. Got a snapshot here somewhere of one forming 1/2 mile away. We rarely get F1 on those. Alligators, snakes, spiders, panthers, coyotes, etc? A little caution goes a looong way. I always walk in the neighborhood with an elderly neighbor. That way I don't have to outrun the critters, I just have to outrun my neighbor. :D

    I use the same self-preservation trick, Dave. I might be a gimp, but I can outrun the 150-kilo guy that I take with me when I do work at the jail. You only need to be the second slowest. YMMV
