Really? My copy arrived long before Christmas. I'm in Florida, so that's probably the reason.

No tin but the first auction had an electric Bimbo racer and a circa 1930 Packard pedal car. Wide ranging offerings, from a curved dash Olds to a 1917 Renault tank to the Penske-White 512M.

In the Foreword it says that this is the year in which the Yearbook returns to its origins - as a stand-alone publication. So what is happening to TOFM? Now only two issues per year, or is it being dropped altogether?

This book coming in October looks like it might be interesting. The listing says it's in Italian but the cover design leads me to believe that it will be bilingual, like some of Giorgio Nada's other photo collections. Apparently companion volumes will appear for the succeeding four decades; no mention of the '50s:

Sorry to hear that. He died on 12/26. One of the great racing journalists, and apparently an accomplished magician as well. I wonder if he had finished his work on "F1 Mavericks" (see reply #2559 above). R.I.P. Pete Biro.:(

I was wondering about that myself.

He was around for a long time and produced a lot of great work.

I just noticed that the author and historian Michael T. Lynch has passed away. I extended by sincere regards to his loved ones. While obviously not their primary concern at this difficult time, what this means for the Chinetti biography that he was working on with Coco Chinetti is likely not good. What a pity on top of an already unfortunate situation...

NART book was basically completed but needs one more chapter. See thread about Mr. Lynch in Vintage.

Thank you for that. I am glad to hear of this, as it should be a fine tribute to a life very well lived.

    Nathan,

Did you get answers already? Would like to learn too if the magazines are discontinued.
For me, the official magazines were only 'necessary' to keep a complete set of yearbooks.
The yearbook being a part of the official magazines.

I have been doing the exact same thing. Frankly, I would love to see the magazine go away since, beyond my desire to keep a full set, I find it to be the most vapid publication imaginable.

Hi Maarten, No answers. The Ferrari web-site still shows 3 issues + 1 yearbook per year for E250. A bit out of date I think.

    Especially if you only get 2 issues + 1 yearbook .... as they did in 2016 & 2017. That's smart business. :D

    #32, April 2016
    #33 September 2016
    #34 December 2016, Yearbook
    #35 March 2017
    #36 September 2017

I saw that too. It's sad, of course, but in all reality, R&T as we once knew it has been gone for quite some time...

I know, I thought it was a clerical error when they sent me through the resubscribe letter after the third issue for the year!! WTF ??!!
If I didn't want to continue with the collection-as I have every issue, I would have got rid of it years ago.

    Right.

Here's my all time favorite issue featuring the NART Spyder, Gurney's Spa win in the Eagle and Gurney/Foyt winning LeMans.
