I love the Barchetta, but always felt the two huge roll bars looked out of place. I think it looks a lot better this way. It's ZFFZR52A210124161.

It was a no sale at Russo and Steele in Scottsdale before: https://bidlive.russoandsteele.com/lots/view/1-P6995/2001-ferrari-550-barchetta-convertible

How easy is it to remove the bars? I saw this thread and it had no reply: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/550-barchetta-roll-bars.390555/

Edit: By "up" in my thread title I mean going up for auction. Not implying they are up/down like in some cars (Benz).

So beautiful!! I would take those ugly hoops off if I had a car like that. Now it became spectacular. Like a Diablo.

This particular car has been sitting for years, likely due to the fact that it is fully priced with 28k miles on the clock. For reference, there is another Barchetta which has bounced around with similar mileage and it hasn't moved with an asking price of 225-250k. I would guess that the real market value for a 30k mile Barchetta is somewhere around 200k.

$200k for a Barchetta seems an attractive price. I still don’t understand the mileage queen thing.

Also, I think I’d keep the bars for safety.

Was this car pulled from auction? It's no longer listed on that link.

That's unfortunate. I was really hoping to see what it would go for, but maybe the seller didn't get much pre-sale interest/inspections and pulled it before selling below estimate.

I was bummed to see it not come to auction as well. Any guess as to what it would have sold for? $200K seems cheap, no?

I suspect the bidding would have ended somewhere in the 200-250k range based on recent offers made on another Barchetta with similar mileage.

I can only speculate, but given that the seller was looking for 400k I suspect that he realized that this auction wasn’t going to pan out the way he was hoping.
