Barrett-Jackson Lot #1348 Scottsdale 2019 Chassis #078188. Vehicle hammered at 200k plus fees, 220k total to the buyer. Just curious of anyone knows this car? They stated it is a 1,000 mile all original car but miles exempt. Is this a record sale price for an 88 TR? Has the TR market just been blown wide open? Hoping someone knows the car or saw the car at Barrett-Jackson to report on the actual condition.

Car is being discussed on another thread.
We have a looooot of threads in price already. It’s not a record sale. It’s all about mileage, condition etc.
It’s a museum piece, hardly a car. The 86 with 13k miles sold for a more in line market price.
This could be a sign of things to come, or a new trend but for now it’s just an outlier.

Since i wasnt watching the TR market in 14/15, could you share what the record sales were back then? I’m surprised to hear they were over $220k

Prices are in pound. You will see this person sold for 161 k pound around 230k usd a TR with 31k miles like pancake back then. It’s a pretty good article. I will dig in my archive my examples;)
I was day dreaming back then and couldn’t have though to get one at that price for sure.
Prices have remained higher in Europe than the US though.
