Well much to the dismay of many owners and non owners alike, the symphony of over 500 prancing horses gets a little repetitive. So I have decided to upgrade the audio system, becasue 2 tweeters and 1x 5.25" just is not working well... Also since I have some serious trust issues I am attempting this on my own.

So my first stop was Scuderia Audio, I picked up their new Kick Panels w/ 6.5" components and the Dual 8" Sub box, all wrapped in matching alcantara. Before I have even started the install I am already impressed with the look and quality. Just wow, real quality and an attention to detail. I can not wait to complete the install and really experience them! Wish me luck.

Sweet, wish I had gotten the dual 8”s - the extra bass will be sweet. Looking great [emoji1360]

I started to do the install myself but quickly gave up and had mine installed by professionals. The Scud might be a lot easier, though. Did you get an amp?

odd...sounds like I’ve been leaning towards “repetitiveness” in my 10yr old scud. Thinking of removing all of that hardware ala my old cs.

I have the ArcAudio 4channel 500w that Scuderia Audio sells as part of the cradle kit. But for two 8”s you’ll need more power.

Keep me posted Win. I’m still in love with my S-Line sound system.

I thought the same thing, but it doesnt seem to be a problem for me. It looks more obtrusive then it actually is. The speakers are Morel Nano, so them and the panel are really slim and very flush.

So its still a work in progress, as I only mess with it an hour or so every now and then. However I rough connected everything, and BAM! The sound, the quality! After having such a dismal factory stereo it is literally a night and day difference. Going to be so excited when it is all finished and I can cruise around jamming out. I am imagining the Hulk Hogan theme song, "Real American". Just cant wait!

I have also realized items like minor fabrication for the cross over and amp mount takes me many many hours, where I am fairly certain a competent car audio shop would knock them out in less then one.

However, I have already learned so much.... And looking forward to the conclusion!

I recently finished my Audio system in the Scud. We managed to get everything tucked under the seats, and wires run down the center. I am very pleased with it, and best part is it pretty much looks factory.

    Completed build is:
    Alpine CDE-HD149BT
    Dayton Audio DSP-408
    JL Audio HD 900/5
    Stinger SPC505 Hybrid Capacitor
    Morel Nano 3-way components
    Scuderia Audio kick panels
    Scuderia Audio Dual 8" Sub
    Audio Quest Cables
