I think I heard them say that the home team won the last ten conference championship games, so it must have been a long while, if ever...T

You could've just said you think Brady is a system QB...which I disagree with. He (Bill) had 4 losing seasons out of 5 in Cleveland. We will just agree to disagree. :)

Edit: And by rattled I was referring to high stress situations like game winning drives. Brady is super competitive like Jordan and gets upset easily at calls he doesn't agree with. He just doesn't let it affect him when it really counts (again last drive of game) and makes clutch plays still.

To quote another great QB, Dandy Don Meredith - If ifs and buts were candies and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas! [emoji2]

Sure. If Belli were coaching Blake Bortles, he wouldn't be going to his 9th SB. Ditto for TB12 if Hue Jackson was calling his plays. But, you can't deny TB12 is pretty clutch. Last year's Super Bowl is a pretty good example.

Out of curiosity, who do you think is the greatest if not Brady? Montana is the only player I think who is realistically in the conversation...T

I believe most people will say this is Brady's last SB. So, there will be some sentimental favoritism for the Pats aside from the HATRED from the many, many haters. :)

But LA isn't really behind the Rams much. It's not like the Lakers or Dodgers kind of excitement that I can see, albeit I haven't been much in LA lately.

I can tell you the games in LV that everyone was interested in were East Coast and Rust belt teams. LA fans --- meh.

LA has a lot of transients and it's been a while since the Rams were last there...it will take a while for them to get a strong fanbase imo. Having the Chargers in town is not helping that either...

So two great Georgia Bulldog running backs will be playing in a Super Bowl on opposite sidelines, and only about 70 miles from where they achieved their collegiate glory! I'll bet they're happy about that in Athens.

And I know of one Florida Gator who'll be playing: Dante Fowler of the Rams. Are there any others?

I believe if Bill has any of the better QBs the outcome of SB games he coached would have been similar. Conversely, if TB had been with Browns, Bills, or even teams not to that extreme like Saints or Packers, he wouldn’t have been as successful. Nobody would be claiming he was GOAT if he played outside of a team Bill assembled (aside from Clev where it wasn’t “his” team and without financial backing).

And yes, Montana is my pick for number one. That’s limited by the fact I never saw the earlier guys play.

At any LA Charger game there are more opponents jersey's than Chargers -- and they play in a stadium that holds only 15K!

Well, if LA isn't going to support a Super Bowl team in a new stadium, then not much is going to help the NFL catch on in So Cal...T

So Cal loves it's college teams. I think the NFL is second fiddle to them.

So many are transplants to LA. Probably no other city with as many. The Dodgers have been in LA since the early 60's and have a natural rivalry with the Giants who also left NY. The Rams left, went to Anaheim, left for St. Louis, and then returned. Difficult to get a real following quickly.

When the Chargers announced their move to LA, the LA Times Sports section ran an article -- "Don't come here -- we don't want you!" They have probably one of the least loved ownerships in football after leaving San Diego. I think even Oakland can eventually forgive Marc Davis for moving to Las Vegas. After all, they moved away before under Al.

    San Diego was another story.

Still you have to wonder if this is exactly what the NFL wanted --- 2 of its top TV markets in the SB and one of them with a shakey history in the city that needs a new beginning.

Now that Alex Spanos is gone, I think the Chargers will eventually wind up back in San Diego, for good. Remember that S.D. is one of the largest cities in the U.S. now!

Not without a new stadium first. And I don't see that happening unless someone wants to put up 2 billion of their own cash.

Thank you for that. But Easley has not played since week 4, and Dawson hasn't played at all. Brown is the over-achiever of the group, having been a 7th round draft pick, and is now a solid starter.

From what I've heard the current stadium is supposed to be demolished, and S.D. State is supposed to get a new, smaller stadium on the same site. With the right sort of money, that stadium could be enlarged to NFL-size.

    Karma.

Sean Payton may moan about the missed pass interference call which probably cost them the game (and my pick). You could easily miss this call if you weren’t watching the game. Lol

One wonders if this was payback by the football gods for paying players to hurt opponents...and only getting suspended for a year.

Meanwhile Brees says he wants to play another year.

I don't know why LA has never been HUGE on pro football, but, look at the Lakers BEFORE LeBron got there,
there was no buzz about them because they were losing, so maybe an NFL team just has to WIN in LA to
get fans, because remember - there are a TON of other options in LA, 2 pro NHL teams, 2 pro NBA teams,
2 pro MLB teams, pro soccer, countless college teams, and look at all the racetracks and drag strips!!! (SIC)

Brady was a average QB out of college - or was he?
Maybe he didn't have the coaching in college?
Look at Nick Foles before he got to Philly, maybe coaching and your teammates actually DOES make a difference!
Look at the carrousel of players that have come and gone from NE, it IS a 'system' franchise unlike any other,
there is nothing wrong with that.
Brady fits Belichek's system, pure and simple, not sure if Mayfield or Mahomes would have coming out of college.
I also feel that when Brady is done, so is Belicheck, and I bet Gronk won't be back next season
unless his current contract is guaranteed.

We have all heard worse, I am happy he didn't destroy the anthem like a lot of them have.

Not unless the CITY pays for a new stadium.
I think they are more tempted to go to San Antonio - or Oakland!

I think they are giving him more rest...

    1) There were missed calls for both teams, nobody remembers them unless there are 5 min or less in a game.
    2) Karma - I don't think so.
    3) I have never heard anything indicating he didn't want to be back, all I have heard is he will be there 3 more years....
