I like Ferraris and Porsches. I drive them in manual and automatic mode. With headers and exhaust from Sharkwerks, the RS’ sound loud, but not throaty. Of course the CGT is the best sounding V10 ever.

NA Ferrari’s sound great. None better than the FXX.

A 4S versus a 458 spider? One is topless, mid-engine, rear wheel drive, right? Case solved!

Are you referring to your real life experience as most people here are questioning your first hand experience with cars at all?

I can say that I've put 40 000 miles in my two 458s and never ever put it in auto mode even though I don't redline my car all the time and even though I just cruise sometimes between A-B, take it to work or grocery shopping etc.

Guy with one I'd the best collections of exotics and Ferraris on Fchat uses both manual and automation testing.

Of course. What's so hard to believe people use automatic mode? It can be convenient. It works fine. There are many times when shifting manually if pointless and accomplishes nothing. It's not like a 6 speed. There's no feeling to it. It's just a click.

Heck even with a 6 speed I don't row every single gear every time. 246 was all that was needed for casual driving.

Guy with no exotic cars in the garage and someone who has repeatedly said that he finds cars boring and unengaging to drive and no plans to buy any cars in the future lecturing owners on how to drive.

    Fchat members- you taking notes?

We have gone over this issue ad nauseam. noone is oblivious to the insults tossed at him, yet forum members dignify him by replying to his completely useless posts. When will everyone simply ignore him.

LOL. No one is telling you how to drive. I'm simply pointing out that automatic mode is a commonly used mode and that it's quite possible that you're sensationalizing the "flaws" with automatic mode in the 720S. Like I said, go stomp on the throttle in track mode and let us know how quickly it upshifts to 7th...

On the contrary, it is you who are telling people what mode should and shouldn't be used for some reason, as if there is a right and wrong way to experience the car.

Hey I’m going to this restaurant tonight. I know you have never eaten there but can you recommend what I should order?

    OK, that's pretty funny! [emoji2]

@Stormtrooper787 posted the right answer upthread. The only logical answer to the Porsche v Ferrari conundrum is to own both. Drive both. Enjoy both.

    Carry on.

Coffee is to be sipped at the traffic light , not while driving. I did not buy a Ferrari to relax in. I have grandma car for that. Best , Kirk.

Well, they have no clue who I am. I’ve never eaten there. I have no plans to eat there. I fact the last time I ate there, I found the food so bland and boring that I have no intention of ever eating there again. But I’ve never actually eaten there.

However , not only will I get you a reservation but you should try the shrimp. There is nothing wrong with the shrimp although I know you are allergic to shrimp but you should still try the shrimp.

Trust me, I know what you will like.

Better than that, due to the fact that everything I have ever eaten in the past is so bland and boring I will never eat anything again. The good news is I just got a job reviewing restaurants.

Well .... this is only a guess but I’ve heard the owner of the aforementioned restaurant is never there and just runs in “AUTO “ mode. Please cancel my reservation.
    Best , Kirk.

SoCal is just mad that TwoSherpaz shut his **** down and told him that it's OK to drive in auto. He thought it was crazy, but now realized that people who drive the most amazing cars in the world also use auto from time to time, even though he can't understand why.

He's also just mad that he realized he probably wasn't understanding how the mode works. He wants to go from 0-60 in 7 seconds while maintaining low gear, higher revs, and loud exhaust noise, not realizing that shifting is throttle and mode dependent and that it will upshift when it realizes you are driving like a "grandma", as some say.

I wonder though if he ever tried putting it in auto and then pulling the paddles to see what happens. Might be interesting!

In any case, SoCal seems to order the crow quite a lot when he eats out.

One man's excitement is another man's grandma cruise. I drink ice coffee, by the way. No need to sip.

Come to think of it, the staff that work there do seem like they are just going through the motions. As if they are just in some auto mode. But they all seemed so bored. They all seemed like they lacked excitement. But ive never actually been to the restaurant so as far as Im concerned, working in auto mode is just fine. In fact its the preferred way to work at a restaurant.

    How was the shrimp Cigarzman?
