I will allow this; both the Niners and Cowboys have had legendary coaches...hence their combined 10 Lombardi’s (SF being the first to 5 and Dallas the second in NFL history). Great franchises with great histories including those great 90s battles vs one another for supremacy

    One report -

"New Orleans-based attorney Frank D'Amico Jr. filed a lawsuit Tuesday asking NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to force a replay of the NFC Championship Game between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams from the moment of the missed pass interference call on the Rams' Nickell Robey-Coleman."

    And in another report -

"Damages in Saints ticket holder lawsuit against the Roger Goodell & the NFL include:

    Mental anguish & emotional trauma

Loss of faith in the NFL

    Loss of enjoyment of life

    Loss of entertainment

    Distrust of the game"

If loss of faith in the NFL was grounds for monetary damages, I'd be wealthy by now. :D

If a court ever made someone replay a game because the refs goofed up, it'd be interminable. Heck, I'd sue to have them to replay a some Mets games from the '73 and '88 playoffs, although those guys would be mucho old/dead by now!

    ^^^ This ^^^

I pointed it out immediately on this thread the second it happened that it was a missed call. It's still a "maybe" that it would've changed the outcome of the game if a penalty was called. Some may say it "probably" would have changed the outcome of the game. But probably is still a maybe. It's not a given. It's not like your kicker doinking the upright with no time left on the clock. That's definite.

Mike F., if you get on the radio and talk about something you know nothing about and spread fake news, should you be fired?

    Agree ^
    and agree^^

I felt badly for Saints fans (and myself 'cause I picked them), but even with the PI being called, it still was no guarantee the Saints win. Payton/Brees totally mismanaged the end of regulation and OT.

Easy there, Big Guy! If we started firing people for stuff they didn't know anything about, 95% of radio and TV sports would be cancelled! :)
Again, I find it sad, two great games. Major topic of discussion? The refs suck. Yes, we know they suck! Stop splitting up the teams that worked
together all season, and use the highest scored CREWS not individual refs...T

On another hot topic. There's a lot of talk here on sports radio about the OT rules. Although the Pats have been beneficiaries in the Falcons SB game and now in Sunday's game of winning the coin toss. It does seem unfair that the other team never got to touch the ball. I wouldn't mind if in the regular season they kept the existing rule because they don't want the games to go too long. However, in the playoffs I think if the first team with the ball scores a TD they then must kick the extra point or go for 2. Then the other team should get the ball and try to score a TD. If they do then they continue playing.

Imagine how exciting it would have been in the NE/KC game if after the Pats TD, Mahomes got the ball and had to drive for a TD or lose!

Brady is 11-4 when a game goes into over time. That's a pretty good record. Moral of the story? Don't let the game go into overtime or Brady will be praising his family and throwing F-Bombs while you are crying in the locker room.

The Pats converted 3 third and 10's in the final drive, KC should have stepped up then we wouldn't even have a conversation. I really don't think changing the rules will change anything. They changed the rules in the first place because of Brady and the Pats running down and kicking a field goal. Now they run down and score a TD and people want it changed again, they will give the ball back to the other team and they will be stopped and people will want a change to a set period of time. Fans will never be happy unless their team is winning, maybe that's why I am such a grumpy old man!

    Go Lions! :)

At that point in the game, the Chiefs defense couldn't stop a nosebleed. How is this New England's fault?
