Exactly what the title says. What are your opinions on the most light weight wheels available for our platform?
18" and 19" I know we can do TE37's but

I just dont like the look of them on the 360 or 430. I have 430 wheels on my 360 but I want something more light weight.

I'm trying to add carbon brakes next month, and want to reduce unsprung weight as much as possible.

    Thoughts?

I don’t think F1-R comes in a size that fits a 360. FWIW, the OEM starfish wheels are pretty light already. Lighter than the optional modular and the 430 wheels.

^ Multi piece wheel are heavier than anything one piece.

Maybe Carbon Revolution would make you a set.

I'm showing you a F430 Scud but this set of R101's in 19" which clear the Ceramic brakes, are the SECOND lightest wheels we can produce for you. The lightest wheels we can produce are called the R101 Lightweight, which looks like our HRE R101 went on a series diet and beefed up where we needed it to be beefed up. Weight is finely removed in certain areas of the wheel which don't require it, and beefed up in the areas which required additional stiffness. The end result is a bonkers weight figure.

R101 Lightweights for the Ferrari F430 we can make in the following size and weight:
    Fronts - 19x9 ET25 - 17.40lbs
    Rears - 19x12 ET45 - 20.00lbs

I have produced a set of R101 Lightweights for the F430, but I haven't received pictures back, so in the meantime I have a set of R101's shown below which are made in the same 19x9 and 19x12 sizing so you can see how they look in the same fitment. Remember, R101 and R101 Lightweights are the same identical design, only with the R101 Lightweight with additional pocketing, the sides of the spokes are going to be more thin, and overall it'll look like a more aggressive wheel as compared to the photos below:

Found a good picture of an R101 Lightweight wheel off a Ferrari 488. Just wanted to show you the difference in appearance, as you can tell from this shot a lot more weight is removed from the sides of the spokes and around the lug nut area as you can see here:

Here are some more examples shown in our Naked Silver finish (Bead blasted, and clear coated, there is no powdercoat on this wheel):

I investigated this last year and eventually settled on 19" OZ Ultraleggra in black. Fronts are 8.5x19 with 27 offset (9.9kg) and rears are 11x19 with 35 offset (11.91kg). Stud pattern needs to be 5x108 and those sizes will sit the wheel about 1.5 cm further out. Don't be tempted to go too far out as you will get rubbing and also overload the hub bearing.

Also, It has been known that the BBS F1's are not made for our F430's and some modifications are necessary while the HRE's will work with the F430s.

But the HRE are much more expansive than the BBS. In the end I choose the 458 forged wheels in 20'. Nice look and save weight. In the end they save a lot of from my money. :D

Don’t do bbs fi! I fitted a brand new set 1 month ago and the rubbing was so bad I have to respray my guards.

I have shaved 7mm from the back pad of the rears to increase the Offset which fixed the issue but who wants to machine a brand new $7k set of wheels.

    Bbs screwed us here

Michelin PS4S, 225/35/19 fronts, 285/35/19 rears. No rubbing, highly recommended.

I wouldn't say that BBS screwed us. They just don't make the wheel specifically for the F430. Obviously, it can work with modification. You have to know what you're buying before the laying down 7k in cash. The issue with fitment with BBS F1 has been a known on this forum for years.

Bbs shouldn’t offer wheels without very specific warning with regard to tire fitment.

I fitted tyres sizes they recommended which severely rubbed.

If they are so aggressively fit and sensitive to tyre brands then this should have been made very clear.
