The previous owner of that car definitely needed some nail clippers

If this is how the interior was treated, I can only imagine how the mechanical parts were treated.

I always wonder how any nice car gets that worn. I sold my Ferrari 308 many years ago I put over 100,000 miles on it and it still looked better than that car. I understand things wear, but that's looks negligent. I have over 40,000 miles on my Lambo and still looks new. My reverse button is starting to look a little worn, but that's it. That interior looks bad!

If that 458 has genuinely only done 9k miles then the previous owner must have used it as a dog kennel...Rabid Doberman by the look of it..! Seriously 458 interiors are renowned for being durable so my guess this forlorn looking example has done a whole lot more than 9k..

the mileage was either rolled back, or it was used as a rental or turo, or the owner is handicapped and couldnt move and clean properly

Jeez that's just gross. I have a 2010 with about 10,000+ miles on it and while I do have the sticky buttons situaiton, my leather is not stained from smoking or cuts and scratches all over the car.

My wild guess is that it was a rental car during its time in Vegas the past 3 years. All those scratches by the ignition show that the driver(s) were unfamiliar with the car and where the ignition was and blindly moved the key around until it went in.

That dealership seems to specialize in that kind of stuff . I called them about that car and was told I should buy it to get it out of their inventory by the end of 2018. I just don't do business that way . Like to be treated like a client -- not a target.

Before dismissing the car entirely, I will say you may want to explore getting an amazing deal. As you can see, those interior shots scare many buyers. However, all the “damage” shown is ultimately minor, and can be fixed for $1000. It may be worth inspecting the car and seeing if that’s really the extent of the poor condition. If it is mechanically sound, you could try using those picture as leverage to get far below market value.
