Job completed yesterday, and I drove the car. So far, so good. There is a little more drag on the gear selector when changing gears but use should loosen it. At the moment there are no leaks. Time will tell. It is quite evident that engine rotation by removing the bolts from three engine mounts would speed up the process of seal replacement providing the bolts can be removed. If the new seals last as long as the originals (32 years), it'll be someone else's problem because I won't be around by then.
