    Question on TPMS light...

So I had new tires installed on my '10 458 6 weeks ago, went with pilot SS same sizes as originals. Anyways since then my TMPS light is on and won't calibrate. I've checked pressures and their normal.

My problem is I actually live several hours away from my dealer so I can't just run it by.

I called the dealer and they said I'd have to bring it by. Could they have made an error with install? This didn't start until new tires.
    Or the batteries in sensors?

Is there a way I can check/fix this on my own?

    thanks for the info!

I suspect that the sensors could have been damaged during the dismantling of the tire: they are flush and very fragile

Remember you must be rolling to reset the TPMS. It will not reset while the car is in a stopped position. Best , Kirk.

TPMS sensor batteries tend to last about 7 years. Likely this is a coincidence and you will need to get new sensors. One of the downsides of having TPMS.

I'm shocked that the dealer (if same as tire installer) did not reset the TPMS warning during the test drive as part of the install unless they didn't even bother to test drive it which would be pretty lame IMO. Good work Kirk helping a fellow FCatter out. :)

If there ever was a true "Love-Hate" relationship, then TPMS on any car, is it.
