Okay, I'm awake again. Let's start the race back up. Oh good, drivers climbing back in. Goodness, looks like I missed some fine driving by Alonso, quite a departure by the Vette to yellow flag it away.

Hopefully with it being daylight now they'll keep racing. The weather doesn't look like it's going to improve so I think it's either go time or call the race.

Alonso can drive on a wet track .......
But behind him someone is thinking, if I can just get out front before the next red flag I get a watch ;)

Massive GTD crash. #9 Porsche hit a nearly stationary #46 Lamborghini on the restart.

If you are Alonso you have to be frustrated. This is prime opportunity to be taking advantage of your skills in the weather to open up some distance between you and the field.

That accident between the #46 and the #9 could have resulted in serious injury.

I stand by my earlier opinion. They'll be under yellow until 2:30 if these conditions persist, and the radar indicates that they will. I still think that if logistics permitted, they should have stopped the clock at the 18-hour mark and said "we'll finish the race tomorrow".

Given the amount of international talent at the race I don't know if rescheduling is that simple.

Later in the season, I would agree with you. But at this time there is really no other significant racing going on, so a one-day postponement shouldn't have that much effect.

Yeah it's sounding like driving the car slowly under caution caused oil supply issues.

Ricky Taylor hops out of #7 Penske car because he feels ill. Interesting talk from Dale Jr about this not totally uncommon, but odd to me that Taylor said he didn't want to come off track....well, then don't tell anyone you feel ill lad. Helio happy to jump in but I can't imagine Penske thrilled.

Green coming up! Time to see Alonso dominate in the rain again.

Big crash! Leaders of GTLM involved. #29(?) Audi car in GTD spins out in the bus stop and on the front stretch.

#10 moves into the lead. It looks really good in the rain.

Yep, #66 Ford GT looks to have lost his wing. I think the rain is supposed to lessen, but not stop. This will be crazy.
