Interesting to think the Titans went to the Super Bowl after they left Houston and before ground broke in reliant stadium.

Well at least you can have a sense of humor about it Tom. :D

I just read recently that Jerry wants to host the SB again, but it is promised 5 years out right now.

Oh yeah. 4 days below 32 F and ice. Big D was chaos during that SB. Hopefully, we'll get there as competitors before then...T

I doubt we’ll be their as contenders. Dak is not the guy we need. If Romo had been playing we would’ve been serious contenders lately (yes I went there!).

Wasn’t their a taxi cab strike the weekend of the Dallas Super Bowl as well?

Not sure about a taxi strike.

Romo was a better pure passer than Dak has shown thus far IMO. Dak has, however, not really had much to work with in terms of receivers. A great but past-his-prime Witten. Dez who seemed to fade once he got the big $$. And, half a season of Amari. I will say that Dak does not seem to wilt in the big situation.

I think Dallas' biggest challenge moving forward will be the salary cap. A lot of people need to be paid - Dak, Zeke, Tank, Amari. Does Dak do a sweetheart deal to keep the team together a la TB12? He could, if so inclined. I think he pulls in some good $$ from endorsements. I think we'll be contenders for the next 5 or so years, esp. in years that our schedule is favorable. Super Bowl contenders? I fear that I'm on the bandwagon that says that Red Jesus has to go for that to happen...T

Romo had 10x a better team than Dak has but couldn’t win. Not sure if it’s because he decided to go to Mexico a week before the game that gets you to the Super Bowl.

Give Dak that same team and I bet he wins.

Dang Jessica Simpson! She cost us a Super Bowl! [emoji35]

Romo had a better O, Dak a better D with perhaps the exception of 2014.

We will never know. If history repeated itself Romo would’ve been injured twice since Dak took the reigns. For sure the current D is way better than Romo ever had.

Yea Romo never should’ve gone to Mexico. I doubt it played any role in anything but perception is everything. I think Romo got a bad wrap for choking. I will say though that the final game of Phillips coaching reign (they were getting smoked by Philly) Romo was on the sideline smiling and Mr ( yes Mr) Aikman questioned what Romo was smiling about. At that point I said F*** this and left.
It was the only time I turned off a Cowboys game.

At 53 years old, I fear I’m going to be stuck in Cowboy past forever. I dated Bob Lilly’s niece in high school while washing dishes at their training camp in Thousand Oaks. I go back to 73 at 8 years old as far as being a fan and yes red headed Jesus has to go.

Michael Irvin was absolutely great as well. Couldn’t have been more cool. We talked for 10 minutes with Jerry Rice right next to us. Michael asked me if I wanted to meet Jerry and in a polite kidding way I said to Rice, “no thanks sir, I only like Cowboys”

Michael high fived me after that.

If everything is reviewable, l suspect coaches will save one challenge for the game changing play that goes agaist them hoping to find SOMETHING missed by the officials.

No additioal challenges should be added. And the missed call has to be identified by the coach when they throw the flag. The red flag must be thrown 15 seconds after the end of the play to prevent minute examination of every detail by the red flag throwing team. Otherwise every big play will be challenged and this will hurt the excitement of the game.

    My 2 cents.

I like these rules. I'd prefer going back to the old system (refs decide, teams abide), but if you're going to do it, it can't slow down the game even more...T

Could be a good way to pass time while we wait for something (anything!) news worthy to happen in Super Bowl news.
[emoji42][emoji42] Whoever dreamt up this 2 week hiatus needs to be whipped with a wet noodle.

Bet the farm AND the bank on NE - some idiot on Rams opened his mouth (the same dude that got away with that infamous non call late in the NFCCG) about Brady. EVERY time someone does that the Pats win

I dunno. I think the Rams are a pretty complete team. No cake walk for sure. Gurley needs to bounce back although Anderson has lights out. Losing Kupp doesn't help. I think it'll be a good game. Just wish they'd play the dang thing already!

I think that if the Patriots can stop the Chiefs' offense enough to win, they can do the same to the Rams. I (unfortunately) think that they will win by a similar margin.
