Had a thought on the Monza. Owners cannot stray too far from the car when it's parked. The public are not a great barometer of civility. I would hate to come back to the car and find an open can of coke etc thrown into the car. Might need some sort of leather cover that can be clipped on?

I do believe that's a rendering done by Marco Van Overbeeke so those are not real colors . It's are probaly the impersonation of TDF and beige

I once met up with a friend of mine. He had a Lamborghini Murcielago, parked it on the side of the street and got out to talk with me. He left the door open since we were standing right there. Our backs were turned to the car. A few minutes later we hear some noise. A woman had gotten in while her boyfriend took photos. When we turned around she just said, "sorry we just wanted photos". As she got out her heels scratched his carbon fibre and he was pretty upset.

Imagine how many similar self absorbed insta-famous wannabes are going to be tempted to climb in and grab photos for a few likes. Definitely need a cover.

I think both the SP1 & SP2 should come with tonneau covers. I think the SP2 should have one that could cover the passenger seat if you are driving alone like the 50's cars used to be supplied with. Would also help if caught in the rain! The cover should match your interior theme.

And depending on the nature of these covers, they could be helpful for when the car needs to get washed. Unlike the old cars, these cars are packed with sensitive electronics. Just alone in the steering wheel there are tons of electronics. JMHO.

Very perceptive. Maybe those owners rarely drive them enough to need washing but then leave it up to the detailers. Would be a pain to stretch plastic over them and cut openings and tape corners if not supplied with covers. First world issue.

Yes it is very much a "first world problem"- but consider also just storing the cars- unfortunately pipes leak etc. Having a cover of some kind would be advisable.

No doubt we’ll receive a cover like every new Fcar for being stored but your point about washing the SP or getting caught in the rain requires a tonneau cover.

Have any more Fchatters here confirmed their orders? Surprised there is not much activity on the chat, I thought the car would have a bigger following...I must admit I could not resist the temptation...The market may be weak but the car is absolutely beautiful...

I went for SP2...SP1 is very unique but I think SP2 will be more usable and probably easier to sell if I ever decide to do so...Apparently 70% of orders are SP2, so SP1 will be rarer

There might be a couple of things at play.

I was at a dealer event last weekend, and a few there were still on the fence. Everyone agreed that the car looks great.

I also wonder if a big part of the Monza buyers, just like Laferrari owners, are not on FerrariChat.

    Congratulations on your SP2!

That is achingly beautiful. Mr. Van Overbeeke has a wonderful ability to subtly reinterpret classic liveries in a modern way.

The Ferrari Monza SP2 named “Most Beautiful Supercar of the Year 2018” at Paris Festival Automobile International
Maranello, 30th January 2019 – The Ferrari Monza SP2 has been named the Most Beautiful Supercar of 2018 by a panel of expert judges at the 34th Paris Festival Automobile International.

The prestigious award was presented at a ceremony at the city’s Hotel National des Invalides attended by over 600 guests, including many leading exponents of the automotive and journalism worlds.
The Ferrari Monza SP2, together with the Ferrari Monza SP1, is the forerunner of the new Icona concept inspired by the most evocative Ferrari competition cars of the 1950s. The Monza SP2 is the Prancing Horse’s modern reinterpretation of a gloriously timeless style paired with technologically advanced components and the highest performance possible thanks to the marque’s continuous research and innovation.
The Ferrari Style Centre’s designers crafted a design so pure and forms so elegantly minimalist, they could be described as a single pencil stroke. The extreme styling of the more recent Ferrari track cars has been bypassed in favour of exceptionally clean, spare lines. Never before has a car possessed such clear narrative power: this is a model born to deliver pure driving pleasure and fun behind the wheel. An experience that creates a totally symbiotic connection between man and car.

I'm so glad they put out a video without the voice.

These cars are stunning. Bravo Ferrari!!

Awesome videos, gorgeous cars...I like the direction of Ferrari’s design language...Cars need to be beautiful to stand the test of time...there will always be faster, better handling cars, but who can tell me they are not moved by the shape of a 250 Lusso? I believe the SP1/2 will become a design classic, even though it is not as important from a technical standpoint.
The Pista is also the best looking mid-engined car in 2 decades in my opinion, so Ferrari have shown us they can do both retro and modern really well now...I can’t wait to see what BB looks like!
