Post # 333. What's the story on this rear grill. Never seen it before. It is definitely different. Me likey! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I like the concept too! It would be great to see more of the engine from the rear and I like the center post detail. Not sure about the vertical edges on the outboard part of the opening though.
As a practical matter, however, any grill open at the back (even the OEM Challenge grill) will draw a lot of dust into the engine compartment. So, it comes at a price of more cleanup. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat

The paint is gloss, not Crinkle/Wrinkle. I tried doing the wrinkle texture on another piece of cast aluminum and it looked pretty bad. Apparently the reason Ferrari uses red Wrinkle is because that texture and color hides the cast pits and flaws. Not that that's a bad thing. My painter's helper worked a solid week priming and wet sanding it. Not perfect but a normal person couldn't see any flaws in the job.
I had some time to look for three pedal cars (not too many around for sale BTW) and saw this interesting one on eBay. Check that hood, rockers and rear bumper! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This car has the Target Aero kit from Japan. I believe it is discontinued. The only car I’ve seen it on in the U.S is the Giovanni Wheels Silver 360 (which this car might be).
You'll probably find that the lid is secured by pins and just lifts out. I have seen this on some race cars.
Thought I would check the ads to get a taste and found this one. "This eye-popping Ferrari has graphics dedicated to Nikki Lauda the F1 driver made famous in the movie "Rush" Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Found another creative paint scheme. If you described it to me I wouldn't have formed a positive opinion of the concept but looks interesting in photos. I found this on Ferrari 360 owners Facebook group. I think this front bumper looks fantastic. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Did something similar with mine while I had the intake apart, used black crinkle paint with clear coat, all hi-temp engine stuff...originally tried the red, but it was so bright and didn't seem like it was crinkling very well, so stripped and used black. Also used the non-crinkle stuff on the lower intake since it looked like poop. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Every time I see something like this I just think to myself “one less ferrari in circulation”. To me it is the voluntary equivalent of totaling the car.
