For Sale 19" Challenge wheels for $3,000

You might remember my wheel project last year:

Ten sets of these wheels were made and they are on 360 and F430s mostly in the US. Some are in other countries. One set went on an F430 with carbon brakes.

I had some PMs from people requesting I make another run. Specs will be 19x8, et 28, 5x108 PCD, 67. 1 CB. Two wheels: 19x10, et 30, 5x108 PCD, 67. 1 CB.

The wheels ended up costing about $3,000 per set.

I may be interested in a set of silver. Would my 360 require any modifications or spacers?

 

No modifications or spacers needed. They are made to fit 360 and F430.

Fitment for 355 is in the works.

 

Nice! Just looked at the pictures and I see someone’s got a white w beige 360 like mine. And the wheels look terrific on all of those cars. What kind of time frame do you anticipate for fabrication and delivery?

Yes, there will be titanium bolts for $300. They are shorter than OEM bolts since my wheel is more concave than the OEM wheel. This allowed a reduced back pad which reduced the weight when compared to the OEM wheel. I have to look up the exact weight.

For reference, this is the 19" CS Wheels original specs:

Challenge Monolithic 19”, 5 X 108 mm
Front 7.5J X 19 ET 31.5 mm, Rear 10J X 19 ET 39 mm

So, these ones being:

19x8 +28
19x10 +30

These would stick out 10MM more than the Original Front Challenge Rim, and 9MM more than the Original Rear Challenge Rim.

So, should be good fitment! It's as if you added 10MM Spacers on your OE CS Wheels!

Did we ever get a weight per wheel on these?

 

Here are answers to some of the questions I'm getting in PMs and text messages:

* Colors are your choice.

* Rear Wheel Weight Savings of 2.7 LBS compared to OEM Challenge wheel. That is a huge weight reduction for one single wheel. I'll post the weights when I find them. Right now all I can find is shipping dimensional weights with the box.

* Front Wheel Weight Savings off 1.10 LBS compared to OEM Challenge wheel, while also 0.5" wider, from 7.5" to 8".

* OEM bolts will NOT fit. I quoted the wrong price for titanium bolts above, price is $400/set extra. Those of you who already paid are in luck, you got a deal. You can also use tuner bolts with cone seat and 35mm shaft. They will have 70% less contact surface than my bolts. That results in more stress on the wheel/bolt contact surface while cornering. My bolts maximize contact surface and provide almost 3 times the surface to distribute the lateral forces more efficiently.

* Production time is 30 days. Shipping time depends on where you are located.

* Price is $3,000. PayPal Payment with full buyer protection. If you don't like them when you receive them you can send them back to me and just pay for shipping expenses both ways.

* Sizes are 8x19 et 28 mm, 10x19 et 30 mm. That is 9 mm further out than OEM Challenge wheel. The stock et numbers are 9 mm higher because they sit 9 mm further inside the fenders. 9 mm is about 1/3". This is still a conservative offset.

 

Oliver. I sent my pal Greg H. to you for a set of your wheels & he luvs them. But he came up two wheel lugs short with his order. He asked me to get a few but I read here that they are not stock type. How can we make him whole again!?

I couldn’t agree more. These are wonderful wheels that dramatically improve handling and performance.

 

If you do build sets for the 355, will you do them in 18"?

 

I’d be interested in a set for the 355 as well .. but needs to fit a lowered car

GerryD: I can get them made if you can get me specs. I don't have a 355 to take measurements. Can you ask in the 355 forum if there is more interest? My Zip is CA, 90275, maybe there is a car locally I can take measurements on?

 

That's a fantastic deal considering you guys actually managed to shave weight OFF the original weights unlike most other replica wheels that end up being heavier.

I'll post some pictures later, but I figured another description of how the car drives might be helpful to folks. I chose MPS4 tires to go on the wheels, and finally had the package installed on the car today. The car is much more nimble and stable with the new wheels. Steering feels much better, and the overall the car seems to even deal with rough roads better. I suspect this might have something to do with the suspension working better due to the lower weight. These wheels vastly improve the driving experience. I have to wait a few days before I can take the car to the track, but from some spirited driving today, these are the new must have performance feature for 360s. I am astonished by how good the car feels. Thank you Oliver!

On another note can you make a set of bolts to fit the pen wheels? I would be interested if possible.

Here is another F-Chat Ferrari in Australia with these wheels.

In this picture you can see that my wheels are more concave than the OEM Challenge wheels.

This design change helped to lower the weight further since the required back pad or hub part of the wheel is much smaller.
