Excuse the ignorance but, why aren't steering apparatus's in planes circular, like cars? GLWS, beautiful looking plane.
ADS-B compliant? CPDLC compliant? With that quantity of hours and cycles is this an ex-NetJets? Year of manufacture? Any damage history?
ADS-B/CPDLC has not been done yet. Not sure if the plane was a Netjet bird or not. ZERO DAMAGE history. Gear is not due until 2023.
My guess is weight. Why have extra material, when it is not needed. You don't have to corner like in a car, so you don't need more surface area for control.
