I have always wanted a Boss 302, and this is as good an example as I have ever seen.

Thanks Rob Lay for the easiest deal I have ever done.

I'm ready for our local Heights Baptist Church Car Show in the spring.

Nice! the only new car my dad ever bought was a 1969 Ford Country Squire Station wagon. I can still remember staring at the Boss 302 on the showroom floor the entire time he sat with the sales rep doing paperwork. It was red.

This car is getting ready to be back on the market when spring hits. Here's a early heads up for F/chat members.

I have had a blast with the Boss, lots of cruising, and winning the Mustang / Cougar class at a local car show, with 22 in the class. Rob had a couple of things fixed at Mid Cities Mustang before I took delivery, and then I had Dallas Mustang do a few more tweaks. I changed to 1 bar Ford steering wheel to a 3 spoke Mustang GT style wheel. Had them install a new Flaming River steering box, which really got rid of the slack it had before. I put on the Kelsey Tire reproduction Goodyear Polyglas GT tires, instead of the radial Goodrich GT's it had. An had an great repair shop in Garland, finally get it running like a Boss 302 and reving to 6,500 rpm again. They found a kinked fuel line, and some other things that were holding her back. Now she pulls hard. Also I put on louder mufflers, as the stock ones were just too quiet for me. All the original parts will come with the car.

I bought the Boss 302 for $65k from Rob, and after spending $10k getting my laundry list of fixes done, I am wanting $75k for this mint Boss 302. I am preparing room for the C8 Vette my car partner and I are ordering soon.

Email me at [email protected] if you are interested.

FYI I still have a few things laying around I still owe Phil or the new owner. I will have to get an exact list, but at least a custom indoor California car cover with "1970 Mustang Boss 302" on it plus a bunch of repair manuals.

I can't believe it could run any stronger, I had no idea because my only classic muscle car. It was so much fun.

At first I thought it ran fine, but didn't want to go past 5,000 revs, and for that car to move you need to get it up to 6,000 at least. The aftermarket distributor had a rev limiter inside the case, and a couple of the shops couldn't get it working right. With the steering and power you would notice a big difference. Still looks brand new.
