I love the newer cars, especially the super cars. I mean, who isn’t in awe of an Enzo or LaFerrari? Having said that, the older cars are what entice me so that’s where my hobby is focused. I love my 328 and and my 355. And, though much maligned, I also think the 348 is a very cool car. Honestly, I don’t get the 360 or the 430. To me they’re big and totally uninspiring. A rather dull era is Ferrari design.

Been thinking about a 328. Had a 348 Spider for just a bit and liked it, but not after buying a 355. Wanting to go older and thinking about a 328 - last year 1989 in Rosso. One for sale on here at almost top dollar, but very loved and well sorted. May have to consider that. [emoji848]

When I tracked my 355, my F Car was the oldest car on the track by far.

FCA shared the track with the super car (rental experience).

The crowd and the people taking pictures were 5-1 around my car versus “modern” F cars.

They were taking a lot of pictures of the center console.

So everything said in the last 10 posts really holds true !

I'm 71 and 11/12ths. I used to feel that way about the 355. Nothing newer interested me. When the 458 came out my ears perked go for a moment, but no. However, a friend has a 488 and while I didn't like it at all in pictures, up close and personal it is growing on me. It's a little big, has way too much power for the street, but the lines in real life are pretty. The problem with pictures is that they don't do justice to the way the scoops integrate with the rest of the body. Put one next to a 458 and the 458 looks like somebody forgot something. I particularly like the more modern front end treatment on the 488. That is one area where I thing the 355 could have been improved.

I almost bought this particular car in 2016, but it sold while I was on my test drive to someone I know. The 355 is the last 3000 pound Ferrari.

The car with the blue interior sold for $80K https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-ferrari-f355-spider-7/

Despite the colors, it seemed to be well sorted and some people like the 1 owner thing. We're not working with a lot of data points but the price would still appear to be part of an upward trend.

Interestingly, the 4 F355 with the highest selling price on BAT (>$80K) were all Spiders.. conventionally the GTBs and GTSs carry a good premium. If a real minty GTB MT came up on BAT now it'd be interesting to see how far it would go.

Good prices for a 27k miles car.

And none of the last 9 were resale (no sale) red. :)

Historically, except for the jump in GTB, GTS prices back in 2015, spiders were always valued higher. Seems they are regaining their position at the top.

$111,000 “new target” on BAT for a low mile 355 Spyder you say ?

This 1999 with 11K miles was only bid to $61,500 and Reserve Not Met on BAT.

I swear the one that sold for $111k was working in collusion. Only way to get that much hyped up bidding.

Seriously, get a grip. These are BAT auctions. Prices are all over the place, spiders or Bs.

GTB, fail to sell at $52k https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-ferrari-f355-gtb/

    GTB sold at $66k https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1996-ferrari-f355-8/

    GTB sold at $65.5k https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1996-ferrari-f355-7/

    GTB Bid to $47.5 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-ferrari-f355-3/

Yep, a little higher mileage, but they are GTBs!!! They should have sold for at least $80k., right?

Mileage isn't everything. That yellow spider was, well YELLOW, an F1, and wasn't in tip top shape, has sat unused for 4 years, then had a major thrown at it, sat for another year and a half before hitting BAT.

Here is another black/tan spider currently up for sale. 1995, 25k miles. $46.5 so far.
