Can someone identify this sensational black car (with red trim) to the right of the Cadillac?
Thanks. And what was that like? Interesting! https://www.auto-veteran.com/index.php/en/latest-news/item/272-famous-constructers-story-of-bucciali http://www.coachbuild.com/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=50&g2_itemId=29160

It is a fascinating history and there are a lot more links on the internet about the car for those interested. I'm surprised no one has commented on the car's logo- a giant flying stork on the side of the hood. Some background and how the logo came to be: The new backer was needed after Albert's wife refused to further spend any of her personal fortunes. The new partner is Emile Guillet, who already had a coachbuilding firm. The radiator on the TAV 2 chassis with the mock-up sixteen cylinder engine was fitted with an ornament that sported a stork similar to that of Albert's old squadron. This would become Bucciali's trademark logo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The TAV engine/trans was mounted like my old 99/900 SAAB cars - (late 60's to mid 90's). Front wheel drive. Engine mounted 'backwards' longitudinally with the belts/water pump etc. up against the firewall. The Clutch, Flywheel, Transmission and Diff at the 'front' of the car. The clutch was right behind the front bumper/grille.
Buccialli. I saw the car at Pebble . I thought it was going to auction, then was withdrawn. At the time there was talk that none had survived but I think by now three of them have been found. The brothers Buccialli showed their cars at several Paris Shows but just never got more than a handful completed. A Los Angeles millionaire spent a million making a fake one on a Chevy Blazer chassis
I was searching for a heron rather than a stork, so all my hits came up with kit cars from the 1970s. All the best, Andrew.
^^^ You guys missed it because the Bucciali "stork" logo was flying backhaul, not delivery! I wouldn't have guessed it either had it not been for the military squadron reference. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ha I was searching for swans, and gave up when google fed me too many of these. Image Unavailable, Please Login
OK, well you're sort of right. The car in an A40 Sport....but it's not a Jensen but an Austin as suggested by the winged A on the bonnet.
Maybe not! Any one of us has the tools at our disposal to be a "designer," too. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, you too can be a designer....... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not surprising considering people in this area (Chicago) have really bad taste. I mean, seriously, this thing is dreadfully hideous.
Made the local paper this last weekend: https://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/mark-phelan/2019/02/10/quadrobot-detroit-china-robot-mail-delivery-trucks/2803060002/
I wish you the best with this project. I love the concept and see many possibilities moving forward. And, it's a cool, futuristic design.
