I call it a "matte" finish and maybe going forward I should put quotes but yeah, the finish looks matte but the process is otherwise. I remember Olympic swimmers using "shark-skin" suits (banned) and those suits use the same technique...trapping air molecules so the swimmer "slips" through the water more efficiently.
I like thcar, looks pretty good, the livery is acceptable...the mate red is crap...but who cares, if it wins i'll love it..
I hope Ferrari have hidden the interesting bits in the garage or something. The only obvious change I'm seeing is a smaller intake duct so the rear wing sees more clean flow. Very basic appearing concept otherwise. Alfa, MB, RB, and even Haas look more interesting and developed. Anyone hear the new Honda engine from the filming day? Sounds vera nice. Gone is that sort of hollow Honda sound.
She was wildly out of place there. Did she not check her clothes for presentability beforehand? She looked sillier than MATTE PAINT ON A FERRARI. Image Unavailable, Please Login
For the technical experts: Ferrari and RBR both have pretty aggressive rake designed into their cars this year, while Mercedes seemingly has completely abandoned this set up. With this year's aero changes, including the intent of creating less dirty-air to encourage passing, any sense of which of the teams seems best aligned with that set-up? EDIT: After re-examining the Merc, there is some angling from the rear, but not as obvious as the SF-90. Who really knows if this will all stay the same through winter testing? I guess we'll just need to see how it plays out.
Ferrari have said it is to save weight ..a ''few hundred grams''. (300 gms =ca 10.5 oz).about 1 1/2 cups of sugar.
