The car is clean. Unfortunately, this a common ‚problem‘ when photographing metallic silver paint with a polarizer.
Really ? I watched the pics again and it really looks like dirt, but since the rest of the car is clean you must be right
Very weird, it does look dirty indeed. If it had to do with light (polarizaion issue), wouldn't it affect full surfaces or reflection areas? However, this seems patched... I'm thinking it might have to do with poorly applied PPF or wax?? I'm pretty sure we've seen tons of metallic silvergrey cars photographed with polarizers around here, and IMO this weird effect isn't at all common.
