    The Indian air demonstration team were presenting a show when two of the planes collided. One plane carried one pilot, the other carried two crew. The two-man crew survived, the single plane's pilot did not. Here is video.

    I'm no pilot but it looks like the one felt he could save the aircraft. It looks like he gathered it up but pointed near straight down hill and low.

    Single pilot plane lost it's nose (and pilot?)... folded back at 180 degrees.
    Dual pilot lost its vertical stabilizer... 2 chutes.

    There's no cockpit left on the plane that 'lost' the nose... don't think the pilot could survive that.
