What is the 964 speedster selling for these days? Let's say 15k miles.

What options or colors have effect up or down on prices. How would you compare to the 1989 speedster in driving character? Will the 964 always be worth less than the 1989 speedster?

So does this mean there is no love for the 964 speedster? Or ‘89 speedster.

    The silence is deafening...

the excitement over this thread is the reason I've always wondered..." what makes speedsters so expensive?".

Rennlist would be a better form to post your question.

the 89 will always be worth more

there is a HUGE bid ask spread on the 964 versions unless you have one of the "rumored" wide body versions

the 964 is a much better driver

OK I appreciate the feedback. I owned an 83 SC coupe that I enlarged to 3.2 with a shorter gearbox. Fun but definitely very old school. One of my good friends had a 964 coupe and complained about many, many oil leaks... I never drove one of those which is why I asked for the comparison.

Drove a 997 coupe and a 996 turbo. Both a bit meh compared to Ferrari. 991 S rear wheel drive was the first newer 911 that raised my eyebrows for grip and much fun.

Wondering about longer term values and if the speedster pluses would add to the fun since it seems they hold their value and appear to be on the way up-ish...

I am guessing they would tell me to use the search button... even though I have and can't seem to find the answer over there. It's not as easy to use as Ferrarichat...

i think the early 964s had leakage issues but most would have had or showing a needed a reseal

    mileage kills value on them

they are pretty much all garage queens now

sounds like your looking for something to drive

    which to me would mean a 996 C4s or a 996 turbo

sold a 89 with 4300 miles in the last 6 months for 190. Perfect car. The market for Porsches is declining. Fast.

The 964 "speedster" didn't generate the same response the '89 did. The '89 hit all the right senses, took all the right styling queues.

    Stunning to this day. IMHO
