Really looking forward to watching this. From the producer of Amy and Senna this series goes one step further into the world of Formula 1 as we meet the families, the teams and the drivers behind the visors in this exclusive, all access documentary Formula 1: Drive to Survive. Unparalleled Speed, Unprecedented Access.

I'm inclined to agree. A simple descriptive title would have been sufficient: "Formula 1: Inside 2018" If the producers felt the need to create hype to lure millennials perhaps they should have named it: "OMG F1 FTW #RushierThanRush" But I will of course be watching it.
Renault also? Article mentioned Ferrari and Merc staying out. I watched the trailer, might be some interesting footage.
Watching the trailer it would seem thats the message and if so, I agree, a bit dramatic. But I'm wondering if drive to survive means you need to drive well in order to "survive" and keep your seat, otherwise you'll be replaced? I guess we'll see.
"The makers of Formula One's new Netflix series have accused Mercedes and Ferrari of letting down the sport by not taking part in the programme" I'm still looking forward to watching it but its very disappointing that Mercedes, Ferrari AND Renault wont be participating.
I am a little surprised Mercedes didn't participate. From Ferrari, i would expect it, particularly under Arrivabene.
What? Liberty Media and Netflix didn't get their way?!?!?!?!? WHAT KIND OF A WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN, PEOPLE? /sarc
Trailer seems a bit dramatic...hopefully it focuses on true behind the scenes stuff and not sensationalizing crashes. I'd love to see how things like logistics in shipping the cars/parts/crews around the world functions
Bit overwrought and pre-packaged, but some of the behind the scenes vignettes were interesting... It would be better if it were more raw, in the vein of the HBO NFL training camp shows etc...
Renault is featured heavily if they aren’t participating. It is enjoyable to watch, perhaps because it is Merc and Ferrari free tbh. No host, the story moves along through the participants exclusively with minimal comments from Buxton to maintain the page, possibly my favourite element of the series. My only complaint is volume control, a problem I have with many Netflix shows. I’m on the remote as if it is a throttle on a Cigarette in heavy swell. Other than that, much better than expected. Lovely.
I rather enjoyed watching the first 2 episodes last night. The HD looks great on my TV and the sound is really engaging as well. I rather liked the segment on Haas and the whole lose wheel situations at Melboune, Gunther, is the man.
The part with Alonso, I rather enjoyed as well. I think he would be a cool dude to just hang out with and talk shop or any other topic. Seems down to earth to me.
Just watched episodes one and two. Hi quality video and composites of some of last seasons more memorable moments (RBR fratricide).
just watched all 10. Drive to survive means drive for your seat, or you're out. Really enjoyed it . totally different view
Not sure I enjoy it as much. Some small things really irk me, such as the fake commentator that Netflix makes it seem as if he actually commentates on the race but just does it for the show, and the V8/V10 noises dubbed over to make the cars sound better....not sure what they attempt to do here as I doubt many non-F1 fans will watch this.
This is good actually, noting some of the limitations, ie some of the teams not playing. I like the insight to the drivers. It also makes Stroll look like a tool. But he does that all by himself every time he opens his mouth.
