Was There A "Cove Thomas Motors" in Hawaii late 70's?

Love Thomas. It was on Kapiolani Blvd, and iirc, it was where Uraku tower is located.

 

The dealership name was Love Thomas Porsche + Audi, not Cove Thomas or Thomas. I don't remember seeing Ferraris there, but they had a TVR, Jensens and a gorgeous MGA. Mom was smitten with a white 356.

 

What was the address of the dealership? Just wondering if my memory is still good. I keep thinking it was at 1341 Kapiolani, and as said before,that is now Uraku Tower.

 

Upper left of the receipt, right below the Porsche and Audi logos.

 

If they were a Ferrari dealer at the time they should be listed in the old dealer network book your car came with. Do you have that book?

I thought you bought a car that was used on the tv show and was researching the dealership. lol

 

The dealership Love Thomas motors was owned by my Dad Ed Thomas. He had a partner Mr. Love so the name Love Thomas! Any way he did sell Ferraris. He leased two Ferraris to Magnum PI. The address was 1341 Kapiolani Blvd. so you were right on that!! Fun reading all of this about the old days in Hawaii. Tracy

 

Your dad had some cool cars there. My mom likes the white 356 with a lot of chrome in the engine. Dad liked the Jensen Interceptor. My brother got an MGB and my sister got an Audi Fox from there. I liked the old MGA and TVRs.

 

My Dad drove the Jensen Interceptor for quite awhile. He really loved that car even though it gave him a lot of problems!! My brother and I both got to drive an old mini cooper white with a red top. Lots of fun to drive. The engine was really loud!!
